A Girl’s Diary

Chapter 16 - This Is Everything I Never Wanted

Chapter 16 - This Is Everything I Never Wanted

The moment we entered the detention room, Sky's eyes turned into hearts. Adam was standing there

flexing. There was no one else in the room and I did not want to third-wheel this. I never thought I'd say

this but good thing we weren't allowed to talk!

The teacher entered saying he didn't want to be there as much as we didn't so we'd better behave next

time. Hope Sky heard this! Because I didn't plan on wasting precious time anymore. For God's sake, I

was a superstar!

We kept quiet, the teacher reading something on his computer and us staring into nothingness. After

about ten minutes of silence, Adam decided it was a good time to talk.

"He's sleeping now. Anyone up for sneaking out for an hour and a half?" No, it couldn't be. I looked

thoroughly at the teacher, his head was bowed a bit and he wasn't scrolling through the screen

anymore. Damn, he was sleeping! I should believe Adam when he said something like that. I mean he

was in detention more than he ever was in any class! How he wasn't expelled yet? I had no idea.

"I wouldn't ditch Elena." Sky said giving me puppy eyes.

"Nah! Don't worry about me. I'm good!" I shrugged. If she liked the guy, then I shouldn't get in her way.

Even if I thought this was bound to be a widespread disaster. She nodded and they both disappeared

through the halls.

Now, I had some serious time to kill. I got out my scribble book and started working on my album. I was

thinking of the theme, maybe it could be about love! Hmm... I guess that sounded like a good idea but

now what to say? I didn't have much experience!

When Adam and Sky returned, I was done. This album better write itself because it seemed to me, I

wasn't going to finish it. Music is supposed to come from your heart. And for now, my heart was icy!

When detention time was finally up, Sky asked me to give her a ride. I accepted too eagerly, I needed

to know exactly what happened.

"He's so dreamy, Eli. We had sushi and he drove me around with his motorcycle." She sighed absently.

"His muscles felt so great under my fingers." I chocked at her words. Just what was I hearing? She

giggled and continued speaking. "I held him so I wouldn't fall off, Eli. What were you thinking, you bad

girl?" Oh, Thank God!

When I reached home, my mind was set on figuring out where mom was. I needed to tell her about me

modelling and that mess I got into. Dad could do too but mom would be over the moon. I'd like to see

her face when I tell her! didn't have to search for mom too long. She had a studio at home, so that was

the first place I searched in. And surprise surprise, she was there working on something. I really

couldn't figure out what it was supposed to be. As always!

"Mom, how does it feel like to have the best daughter in the world?" I asked her with the best smile you

could ever see. The smile reserved especially for when you need something from your parents. She

looked at me, unfazed and shrugged.

"I don't know, ask grandma!" Not cool, mom. Not cool! I narrowed my eyes at her. "I mean Loca is fine

too so I know a bit how it feels." What?

"But is Loca the one you wanted to model for you since forever?" I asked her. Getting to the point.

"*Wait*! Don't tell me!" Her eyes widened at realization. "Finally!" She squealed. "It's too hard to get

Cinnamon to model for you these days. Even when she is your daughter." She said with too much

excitement. "But no masks, dear daughter." She raised a questioning brow. She didn't think I'd go as

Cinnamon, right?

"That's the plan. I need the photos by the way." I smiled, hoping she wouldn't figure out why I needed

them.

"My sixth sense is telling me you have a date to your concert so you said you are helping me. Does

that sound about right?" I gave her a maybe and she chuckled "I knew it!" She shook her head. "I'll tell

your father, you need this after the party and before the meet and greet, right?"

"You know me too well." I kissed her cheek and headed to my room.

When I was done with most of the details, I headed to where I was meeting Aurora. Was I late? I don't

think I need to answer that!

We arrived in style just like everyone else. Everyone was wearing elegant dresses or suits sporting

expensive looking golds and silvers. The moonlight was too magical, providing a natural disco ball from

the outside.

When we got inside, there was a sweet melody drifting through the busy atmosphere. Drinks were

everywhere, almost everyone had a glass of champagne or expensive wine.

This was not what I imagined!

Harps, violins and pianos were played... too much for the party being on the honour of a pop star and a

rock band!

Aurora introduced me to too many people to associate their faces with names again. Better stay away

from them, since I wouldn't remember any of them.

When Aurora finally gave me a break, I decided it was a good time to find the boys of honour. They

were huddled near the centre of the room, laughing among themselves. I approached them keeping my

smile for everyone who was saying hey as I passed.

"So you invite me and no one even asks me for a dance?" I said. They all turned towards me, their

eyes full of surprise.

"Really? How could no one ask you for a dance?" Adrien asked.

"I would ask you but I got a date," Xander said apologetically. Even though, he wasn't trying to

apologize.

"Of course you do." I chuckled.

"Hey, anyone has an idea what's wrong with Ron?" I asked. He'd been sitting alone sipping on his drink

for more than twenty minutes now.

"His date ditched him," Benjamin whispered in my ear. That was partially my fault, but I wasn't feeling

that guilty. I mean I couldn't be at two places at the same time, and he could have gotten another date.

"There you are, Cinnamon." I turned around at the sound. If I was supposed to know who was that,

then I was screwed"I'm Philip, the new CEO of Glerby." Okay, this meant I hadn't met him before. Wait,

wasn't that an entertainment company in Miami?

"Hello!" I answered smiling politely.

"I already discussed this with Aurora but how do you feel about a concert in Miami? Sponsored by us?"

Tempting! No, wait! What about school?

"I'm okay as long as Aurora is fine," I answered.

"Perfect then. On another note, can I have this dance?" He bowed. I looked at him, he was young for

being a CEO and quite handsome too, so why not? Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.

"Of course." I curtsied and giggled when he took my hand and grinned.

The rest of the night was between too many dances, more conversations with people I wouldn't

remember their names and no rest at all. My phone kept buzzing but I couldn't get a moment to check

it.

When it got too boring to listen to idle conversations, I decided to see what all these notifications were

about. I sucked in a sharp breath when I saw it. It was all about me. And it was bad. Too bad.

'The identity of a super-star remained a mystery? Not anymore, her boyfriend, Louis knows her identity.

Even if she claims she's single, we all know she's in a relationship. That's normal but how would

anyone know her identity? The world's greatest reporter now claims he knows who she is and is willing

to tell us all on Sunday on the top-ranking program, a night with Bryan with her boyfriend as his guest.

Stay tuned everyone, you're about to know the biggest secret ever.'

I read it over and over. Trying to grasp how this could happen. The worst scenarios unravelling before

my eyes. Could it be that Louis knew my identity all along? Was that why he kept switching characters

around me? Could that guy who broke into my room that day be related to this. Oh my God! The notes!

I should have known! Did they...

I couldn't think of anything except one thing.

Louis was going to pay!
