A Girl’s Diary

Chapter 2 - Did Somebody Say Fairies?!!

Chapter 2 - Did Somebody Say Fairies?!!

Did you ever wake up but felt like the day is full that so you wanted to sleep it off? Well, that's the

zombie me right now! That's how I woke up today.

How did I manage my life between being a star and a senior high schooler?

I didn't!

I had a schedule telling me what exams, assignments, training, concerts... and all the blah blah blah

shit I had. Why you ask?

The answer was simple...

To keep me on my toes, ahem, even though I do nothing at the end and probably end up late... as

always! This text is © NôvelDrama/.Org.

School was a total fail but at least out of the list. I mean it was the thought that counted, right?

Next was homework! Yay, that was the fun part, not!

I was trying to do my homework quickly. To be honest it was almost too easy. I was such a smart kid.

Damn, I could totally envy my big brains! Well, until I started doing my math homework. I was pretty

sure I was failing this subject. I'd ask for help later. Probably from some hot nerd... or not! I still had lots

of stuff to study... maybe just not for today.

Aurora would murder me if I was late... again

I got up to get ready for rehearsal in a sloth-like motion feeling too content with my laziness. Wait a

second, was that my phone ringing? I asked myself when I heard my latest song! But I didn't put the

ringtone! I'd never put since I told everyone I hated Cinnamon! Ironic, I know! I checked my pockets, no

it wasn't my phone. That's when I remembered.

My manager, Aurora, gave me another phone.

She said that Cinnamon should be another character from the real me if I don't want my identity to be

revealed or exposed. Well, now she's ringing on that phone.

It must be an emergency to call me now! And why would she put that ringtone if I was supposed to be

not related to Cinnamon? So instead of letting her get mad, I answered the phone.

Act cool!

"Heeey" Not that much, stupid! Ugh!

"C, baby where are you?" Her tone robotic, was she mad or worried? I had to know to tell the right lie!

"I was about to get ready and come." I decided to go with the truth. Whoever said truth is the best

strategy was a liar!

"You are late darling! I was so worried, you're never late. And now you're still at home" Calm down

Aurora, I still had my ripe college days to live!

"Had a hard day sorry, I'll be here ASAP!" I guess I was a liar too, oh well!

"You have ten minutes only honey." She purred, her voice surreal. Now, I knew I was dead.

"More than enough." That was the optimism I needed in my life.

However, It was an awful lie, I needed at least an hour... I was so dead! So, I put on one of the outfits I

had for these kinds of situations. (Mom's suggestion btw!) I ran downstairs to get my mom's car key.

Call it my bad luck but, it was not there and neither was she! My car was still being fixed and neither

Ian nor Loca had a car! Wait a second! Didn't Ian get a Harley...

So, I called him and he came to my rescue. His exact words were 'You better know pretty well, you owe

me' In seconds, he was sprinting downstairs.

"We have ten minutes, less actually!" I panicked.

"Classic Elena!" He chuckled grabbing me to the garage.

Everything passed as a blur. Buildings. Cars. People. It was all hazy grey scene making me scarred for

life. That guy was speeding beyond speed limits. When did he learn to drift like this!

When we arrived, I checked my watch. Ha! Only a minute late!

I hurried to the backdoor, but then Ian grabbed my hand. I looked at him puzzled. "You idiot, where's

your mask?" I wasn't not wearing it! Shit shit shit! He shook his head while I continued my panic, took

off his scarf and wrapped it around me and then put the motorcycle helmet on my head "Now you're

safe. Don't pump into doors." he says. I was so relieved now, what would I do without that boy. I'd

probably be either exposed or killed by the hands of Aurora.

Such a calm life!

Now I seriously needed to go in there. I entered from the back door to find her standing there,

commanding everybody. The moment she saw, she pointed to my dressing room, so I went there and

so did she. I was definitely going to be murdered tonight.

Maybe horror movies were just playing with my mind.

When we got there Aurora kept glaring at me which was definitely a bad sign, so I started talking!

Waiting for the scolding was even worse than the scolding itself! Always be the one to break the ice! (If

you didn't mind getting your neck broken after... or any other part of your body for that matter!)

"Hey, Aurora!" I gave her my most practised winning smile.

"Don't hey me young lady. Where have you been? Do you have any idea what time it is?" She scolded.

Guess I used it on her too much. Ugh! Now I would have to find another way to deal with these

situations. Should I take that as a bad sign?

"Umm, sorry?" This was definitely a question. I was not even that late! Well, technically, I was since I

was already late when I was at home but... ugh! That was so beyond the point.

"About?" She got me. Well played Aurora.

"Okay! I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Maybe it's because I was almost too late, or the fact that I missed some

guitar practices, or it's about the fact that I broke your favourite glasses... or you're trying to guilt me

because you did something!" Now that I thought about it, she didn't let me see tonight's costume.

"Wait, wait, you broke my glasses?" Oops!

"What? Why are you changing subjects?"

"Did you?"

"Everyone has their secrets, and I bet you did something too. What is it, huh?"

"Don't be ridiculous, what would I do?" She crossed her arms and I swear she mumbled something

under her breath. Hmm... suspicious! "Now now, no excuses, you can't be a superstar if you're late all

this time." Her voice too stern for my own taste.

The thing with Aurora was that she wanted me to be the best singer ever, she just wanted me to be

successful, so I guess that was her way of showing it. And I appreciated it . Plus, she always made a

lot of effort to let me stay mysterious. I wanted that so my life won't be too complicated.

I didn't want them to know where I am...

Also, people would only love me cause I was Cinnamon if they knew who I am, not because of me, the

real me, the nerdy Elena me. So to show her that I was really sorry about being late and that I was

grateful for everything she did to me so far... I didn't give her to much trouble!

"Where's my costume?" I raised a challenging eyebrow.

"Where are your clothes, normally?" She chuckled and hurried out. Again anyone smelling something

suspicious?

I went on to fetch my costume.

The dress was amazing! It's a baby blue off-shoulder dress, knee-length with pearls from top to bottom,

I felt like a real princess in this or even a fairy... wait a second... that wasn't all the costume! This

explained the flower tiara, and here I thought I was an island princess.

"Aurora, did you maybe do the one theme we agreed on not doing by any chance?" I gritted. I freaking

hate fairies.

That was when she looks uncomfortable, I know that look. I'd seen it a million times before, she'd done

something I was going to hate.

"Umm, maybe it's fairies." She said scratching her neck.

"What. Do. You. Mean."

"I know you said anything but fairies." I nodded, letting her say whatever on her mind. Even though I

knew exactly how this conversation was ending. We had it before. "But the whole idea of the album is

about magic and magical stuff..." She looked over at my direction. She was talking animatedly with that

sparkle in her eyes. Ugh, don't make me feel bad now.

"Go on!" I motioned for her.

"Young lady, I'm the one in charge here. You do as I say."

"You're abusing your power here." I grinned at her, even though I knew I lost this battle. Still, I could

provoke her a little.

"Your wings are over there, go put them on and come quickly for rehearsal C." She said in a swift and

got out. Un-freaking-believable.

Feather wings with a matching mask. A one that looked like it was taken right from a fairy-tale. Oh My

God Aurora! Why was she doing this to me? I put on the rest of the costume and got out to meet the

band I was playing with tonight.

I met these guys in a café when I first moved to California. Of course, they had no idea I was there. Not

many tend to relate the gorgeous Elena Whitte to the plain Cinnamon. Besides, I never talked to them

as Elena. Aurora came to the café the next day and she knew how talented they were so now they're

part of the agency and we made an album together.

Beside being talented, they're so funny. Well, except Malcom, he was the angry gruffy dwarf of Snow

White. Also, the best drummer ever!

They were all wearing things that remind me of fairies. The decoration itself. This was all so lame,

Aurora.

But again she was the boss, what could I do? Nothing. So yay!

"Ooh! You look so cute, guys." I said just to see Adrien blush and Malcom get angry. The rest of the

boys just chuckled lightly.

"Well not as cute as you." Alexander, who we're happy to just call him Xander, said and winked at me.

Quite the charmer or should I say quite the flirt!

"Hey Cinnamon!" The band's bubble of joy, Benjamin, says in his 24/7 cheerful voice. I waved at them

all. Shirtless looked good on them, especially with gold glitter all over their abs.

"Let's do this, boys!" I said as I took the mic. Singing was truly magical! I started singing the songs for

tonight's concert with the band getting lost in them. We perfected one after another, I could tell this was

going to be a huge success!

Suddenly the lights went out!. cutting me from my thoughts.

WHAT WAS HAPPEINING???
