Back in Time: Unshackling From Love (Mikayla Davidson)

Chapter 43

Chapter 43

Mikayla refrained herself.

She stood firm. She was determined not to lose herself in his charm.

Mikayla glanced at Jerome coldly.

“What are you doing standing here? You scared me!”

w are you

Jerome said gently, unfazed, “Didn’t you send Grandma off? here? I’ve been looking for you.”

Mikayla observed Jerome’s demeanor as he spoke. She was sure that he was

under the influence.

Jerome was assertive in nature. Despite being sluggish, he would never utter

such words.

In the previous life, Jerome had also been wasted from alcohol. Upon returning

home, he would simply retire to bed without causing any scenes.

Mikayla felt slightly relieved.

As a precaution, she called Mike and asked him to arrange for someone to pick

them up.

“Understood, Mrs. Miller.”

Mike hung up the call.

“You still haven’t told me why you’re here.”

Jerome gripped Mikayla’s arm. He was determined to get an answer. This is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

Mikayla had heard from Celeste that the intoxicated ones could be quite

intimidating.

Mikayla had no intention of arguing.

She responded, “I got bored, so I walked around.”

“Why were you feeling bored?”

Jerome gazed at Mikayla hazily, his expression‘ serious.

Mikayla was at a loss for words. She pondered that if she captured Jerome’s goofy demeanor on camera, she could probably tease him for a fortune.

When he didn’t receive a response, Jerome abruptly reached out and pulled her

into his embrace.

“Why aren’t you saying anything?”

“Let go of me, Jerome!”

Despite Mikayla’s attempt to break free, Jerome tightened his embrace.

“Where are your manners? Didn’t you used to call me ‘Jay‘? Why did it stop?” he

retorted in irritation.

Mikayla jolted upon hearing his words. She felt a mix of irony and bitterness.

At last, she was consumed by anger.

“Jerome, is it fun for you to act out because you’ve been drinking? Or is it because you’re unfamiliar with me no longer actively pursuing you?” Mikayla

forcefully shoved him away.

Mikayla found the word “Jay” to be ironic.

She had trailed after him, calling him “Jay“. But had he ever paid attention?

Mikayla tightly knitted her brows together.

She was incredulous that he now expected her to call him “Jay“.

Jerome stumbled backward as Mikayla pushed him away. Despite regaining

some consciousness, he still felt tipsy.

Although he wasn’t entirely intoxicated, he wasn’t fully conscious either.

Jerome couldn’t believe he took Connor’s idea into thought.

*Jerome, the key to handling women is to charm them. They’d become more lovable and captivating!

“Remember, soften your voice, and take it easy. At the right moments, hold

their hand or put an arm around them. Any girl who’s into you wouldn’t resist!”

Jerome had softened his voice and approach, wrapping his arm around

Mikayla’s waist. However, none of that made a difference.

Mikayla ended up even more furious.

Jerome massaged his temples. He felt dizzy and had a headache. He

continued walking, trying to steady himself.

After taking a few steps, he halted and turned around. He glanced at Mikayla. He asked slowly, indifferently, “You’re going to just stand there?”
