24. If My Day Of Forgiveness Ever Comes
“I need to speak to you, Drake …” She said with a pitiful look.
Drake Bell who had just finished wearing a simple night wear walked over to sit on one of the two couches in the room, “go on.”
“Can I sit, please?” She asked and Drake Bell gestured for her to.
“I will be your wife legally in a couple of weeks, I don’t feel comfortable with another woman staying here with my hubby. Lily needs to leave,” she said.
“Are you giving me a command in my own house?” Drake Bell asked coldly.
“Of course not, I’m just saying …”
“Saying what? She has two kids for me, do you want me to send her and my kids away?” Drake Bell asked.
Amelia then confirmed that those two kids that she had seen on the media that Drake Bell was holding were actually his biological children. What’s even more heartbreaking to her, those two kids were born to him by Lily.
Amelia had cold sweats formed quickly on his forehead on this revelation. She felt like someone that had a huge loss on a bet.
“I…” She stuttered, not knowing what else to say. Then she remembered what she put on fire and stood, “I should go.” She said this with tears streaming down her face then dissapeared from his sight.
After Amelia had gone to serve Lucinda the delicious meal she cooked for her, she went back to the kitchen and called her mom. Once she answered, she spoke tearfully to the phone, “mom, those two kids we saw Drake Bell holding on the media are actually Drake Bell’s kids and they were born my Lily. Mom, I think it’s over for me.”
“Oh my…” Mila was shocked herself. Although she had been guessing that the kids might be born by Lily, she still wasn’t sure. Thinking deep, she said, “I’m always here for you, don’t think you can loose. I’ll think of what to do.”
“Mum, please act fast. I don’t want to be a second option for Drake Bell.” She said.
“Let me think, I’ll call you back dear,” Mila said and hung the call up.
“Lily, can you just fucking die already!” She mumbled angrily. She hated the fact that Lily was standing as an obstacle between herself and Drake Bell.
Amelia then left the kitchen and went to Lucinda’s room after she was sure she must have finished eating. She took the empty dishes from her table and took it to the bedroom like an obedient housewife. She then began to search the rooms in the house for Lily’s kids.
At the end, she heard laughter’s of some little ones coming from a room so she walked over there. After confirming that there are little children in there, she knocked on the door gently. At once, the door opened.
Jayden was the one who went to open the door, he was surprised to see a strange face. “Hi!” Amelia greeted.
“Hey…” Jayden greeted back. Isabella climbed the bed and walked up to the door to see the image that Jayden was looking at. Seeing the stranger, she didn’t know what to think or say.Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g
“I’m your mom’s sister. Practically, you can refer to me as your aunt,” Amelia said with a smile.
“Okay.” Jayden said.
Amelia smiled even more, trying to make the kids more comfortable, “one of these days, we can go out together and have fun.”
Jayden and Isabella nodded, just staring at her blankly.
She brought out her phone and took pictures of the kids and herself then tucked the phone back to her pocket, “I should go now, aunt will check on you in the future. I’ll also bring you lots of goodies.”
“Okay…” Isabella said with a smile and watched as Amelia walked away.
“She’s beautiful,” Isabella said to Jayden after Amelia had dissapeared.
“We should tell mom about when when she comes,” Jayden said, he was wondering why Amelia would just appear before their doorstep, she should have appeared with their mom at least.
After forty minutes had passed, Lily came to check on the kids. Jayden was quick to tell her about their experience with Amelia. Lily guessed at once that this ‘aunt’ would be Amelia.
“Don’t let anyone into your room unless it’s me, okay?” Lily told the kids to which they answered “yes.”
“Moreso, this woman doesn’t like me so clearly, she wouldn’t like you guys too. Don’t accept anything from her and don’t ever follow her anywhere, okay?” She further lectured.
“Got it, mom.” The kids responded. She played with the kids a few more minutes before leading them to sleep.
On leaving the kid’s room, Lily thought it would be better for her to inform Drake Bell immediately. For matters pertaining to her, she would handle it herself. But this was matters pertaining to her kids, she needs Drake Bell to warn Amelia not do any harm to her kids.
Although it was late in the night and Drake Bell might have been sleeping, Lily still couldn’t help but go to Drake Bell’s room to inform him.
While heading to his room, she suddenly heard some sounds behind her, on turning, she saw a a object that was as big as an adult moving on its own. Lily was scared to the gut that she ran forward, seeing someone approaching her, she jumped on the person and screamed, “help!”
The person she jumped on kept her in his embrace, enjoying her fresh and alluring scent. “It can’t hurt!”
It was only after Drake Bell spoke that Lily realizes whose arms she was. She immediately stepped down from his embrace, “what’s that thing?”
Drake Bell adjusted back, “I better leave you to find out.” He teased.
Lily turned and saw the thing walking even closer to her, Lily ran to him and hid behind him, while watching the object from his shoulder.
Drake Bell immediately turned and pulled her into his embrace, “even if it can hurt, it must pass through me before it gets to you ” then he kissed her neck, she almost let out a moan as her neck was a sensitive part of her but she held it and remained quiet.
Unlike other times when she always feel like pushing him away, this time, for an inexplicable reason, she felt comfortable around him. She just remained still and didn’t struggle at all.
Drake Bell expected that she was going to pull back as she used to but she didn’t, then he pulled away slowly, “it’s a robot. We use it for security purposes.”
“Oh!” She exclaimed.
“Why are you walking in the middle of the night?” He asked tenderly, both adults were standing very close to eachother and neither of them saw a reason to adjust back.
Lily could perceive his sweet scent. It was the same enchanting scent that he had years ago. “I want to see you as regarding the kids.”
“Shall we go inside my room to discuss?”
“It’s not a big deal. I can just tell you here,” Lily said, “the kids said Amelia came to their room telling them she’s their aunt. You may trust Amelia but I don’t have any trust in her. I don’t like her and I definitely don’t want her around my kids. So please tell her to stay away from my kids.”
“Noted.” Drake Bell said simply.
Lily nodded, the kids were his too so she knew that he was going to work on it.
“I need to go to my room,” she said and wanted to start walking away but Drake Bell spoke, “Lily, how about a date with me tomorrow? I’ll come during your break period tomorrow and pick you up.”
Lily shook her head instinctively, “I’m sorry, no.”
She added quickly, “I should go.”
Drake Bell watched as she walked away. But before she faded out of his sight, she turned to glance at him after which she eventually dissapeared into her room.
“Lily!” Drake Bell called gently. Then he walked over to the room that himself and Lily used to share when they were married. He picked her frame that was on the wall and said, “I remember how I ignored you many times when we were married. We were couples yet I wouldn’t even come home for an entire month sometimes, I don’t even answer your call most of the times. I was wrong. Very wrong.” He said this sincerely and apologetically then kissed her forehead in the frame. Staring affectionately at the picture, he said, “Lily, if a day every comes that you truly forgive me and give me a chance again in your heart. I’ll hold a mega celebration and celebrate home and abroad. I’ll let everyone know you are my woman and even apologize publicly.”
He sighed sadly and hung the beautiful frame of Lily on the wall.
