Chapter 3352

Chapter 3352

Following Zoella's refinement, one of the alchemists from the Alchemist Association gave some comments. It was basically an explanation to the surrounding students in order to expand their knowledge.

"As the name implies, the Four Seasons Flowers Pill combines flowers from different seasons. It has very notable healing properties."

"There are no special steps required to deal with the ingredients. Hence, it is considered the most basic pill of the four-star rank."

"The most important step here is putting everything into the Magic Furnace and combining the ingredients together."

"With so many different flowers, there are some that might react with others. A small mistake might cause the ingredients to go bad and the refinement will fail." "Without the proper technique, multiple flowers might have different reactions with each other and cause the Magic Furnace to explode. In the worst-case scenario, one's divine soul might even be damaged."

While he was speaking, Zoella continued with her refinement. Using her vital soul, she was slowly maneuvering the strength and direction of the fire in the Magic Furnace.

"Flame control is a huge factor that sets apart a four-star pill from a three-star pill."

"Because the temperature needed for each kind of raw material is different, when refining the Four Seasons Flowers Pill, you must accurately control the flame to ensure that the temperature doesn't cause anything to fail."

"This control is very taxing on the vital soul. Hence, many three-star alchemists get stuck at this stage and are never able to progress further." Many students listened intently and made their own notes.

At this moment, the flame in the Magic Furnace suddenly erupted.

"Oh no, the flames are going out of control!"

Seeing this scene, many alchemists' expressions immediately changed as they hurriedly called out.

"Stop what she's doing!"

"Quick!"

However, Zoella didn't want to give up. She gritted her teeth and insisted, "I haven't failed yet. It can still be saved." Therefore, she continued to inject her positive energy and divine soul in an attempt to suppress the flames. However, she had obviously overestimated the strength of her divine soul as well as her power of control over it.

Her divine soul had no effect at restraining the flames in the Magic Furnace. Instead, the fire spread out further and splashed onto her. Suddenly, she felt a splitting headache overwhelm her. It was almost as though someone had bashed her on the head.

After suffering that blow, Zoella's divine soul immediately lost control and dispersed. Without the divine soul's suppression, the flames surged and started to burn fiercely. The different ingredients in the furnace were also thrashing about wildly.

They collided against each other randomly. Some even caused sounds of explosions. At this point, Zoella knew that she had failed too. Her face paled as she tried to retreat.

However, it was too late.

In the Magic Furnace, the raging flames and messy ingredients collided with each other. With a loud bang, the Magic Furnace exploded. A ball of flame flew out along with debris.

All the onlookers were frightened and they immediately scurried away.

The alchemists from the Alchemy Association were shooting out waves of positive energy in an attempt to contain the explosions.

With the help of these alchemists and the protective measures in the four- star examination room, none of the surrounding students suffered any injuries apart from a slight shock.

However, the people inside the alchemy room were not as fortunate.

The alchemists themselves were strong and experienced. Hence, even though they were faced with a direct blow from the Magic Furnace, they were able to defend themselves.

However, Zoella was in the center of it all. She had to face the explosion head on, and she was the one who felt it the most.

When the fire in the alchemy room finally died down, everyone looked over. Zoella's luxurious clothes were tattered. There were injuries all over her and she was covered in blood.

There were even a few wounds on her face, tainting her initially charming appearance.

These injuries were clearly not light.

With a livid face, Junior Alchemy Master, Mattham, brought a bunch of medical emergency staff over. He quickly checked on Zoella and made sure her life was not in danger.

After that, Zoella was sent away for treatment.

Several workers then came in to clean up the mess in the four-star alchemy room.

The onlookers outside were still frightened.

"How scary."

"Is the four-star alchemist assessment really that hard?"

"No wonder so many three-star alchemists are stuck at this step for the rest of their lives. It's nearly impossible to get past this."

"I wouldn't risk my life either just to become a four-star alchemist."

"I guess no one will dare to take the assessment now. If you aren't strong enough, you might die from it."

While everyone was busy

discussing, Mattham and the other alchemists, walked over. He swept his gaze around and asked, "Is there anyone else who wants to take on the assessment? If not, then we will come to a close."

The candidates looked at each other, and then their eyes fell on Eva and Fade.

After all, among this group of candidates, there were only three of them who had passed the test for a three-star alchemist.

Now that Zoella had failed, Eva and Fade were the only ones left.

Of course, in everyone's mind, it was unlikely for Eva and Fade to participate in the assessment after seeing the tragic ending of Zoella.

At this moment, the two seemed to hesitate. They lowered their heads and pursed their lips, not answering directly.

"If no one wants to proceed, then let's end it!" Mattham waved his hand, ready to announce the end of the assessments.

Hearing this, a strange look flashed across Eva's eyes.

She looked at Mattham and asked, "Mr.

Chiang, I have a question for you."

Mattham was friendly toward her. He turned around, smiled, and whispered, "Yes. What is it?"

Eva said, "Mr. Chiang, I want to know, have I reached the standard to enter the Pill Fragrance Hall yet?"

As soon as these words came out, many alchemists present, including Mattham, were shocked.

Mattham looked at Eva in surprise. He paused for a moment and asked, "Is that what you want?"

Eva nodded and said, "Yes, my dream has always been to join the Pill Fragrance Hall. I would love to work with you."

Upon hearing this, the onlookers burst into an uproar.

"Her target has been the Junior Alchemy Master all along. I guess there's no hope for the rest of us."

"Duh! What woman wouldn't want to go after him? If I was a girl, I'd pine after him too."

"My crush has fallen for another man. Sob!" "But what is the Pill Fragrance Hall? I've never heard of it before."

"I guess you must not be familiar with this area. The Alchemist Association is huge with countless members. It's a huge issue to decide how they divide their resources."

"In order to show their support for skilled alchemists, the association set up a separate department for them."

"The Pill Fragrance Hall was set up for Junior Alchemy Master, Mattham. There are countless people, whether insiders or outsiders that are dying to

join."

"So that's how it is. I guess it's like an association within an association. No wonder Eva wants to get in."

"However, it seems like the requirements to get into the Pill Fragrance Hall are very high."Content property of NôvelDra/ma.Org.

Amongst the discussion, Mattham

looked over to Eva. She was looking

at him expectantly. He could not help but feel his heart soften.

However, he still shook his head

"You need to be at least a four-star alchemist to join the Pill Fragrance Hall, so I'm afraid..."

Hearing this, a disappointed expression appeared on Eva's face. She immediately raised his head and firmly said, "In that case, I want to participate

in the four-star alchemist test."

"Huh? But..." Mattham was shocked. "Are you sure?"

Eva nodded firmly and said, "I am willing to do anything to get into the Pill Fragrance Hall."

Looking at Eva's delicate face, and her huge eyes, Mattham felt his heart beat quicken. Mattham was the son of Roche. With his title as Junior Alchemy Master, he never lacked women.

However, no woman had ever stirred his heart. He would always cast them aside after he got bored.

Earlier, when he saw Eva do her test, he was impressed. Instinctively, he wanted her.

Regardless, he was not the kind of person to give in to his urges. After all, it was not rare to find a girl like Eva.

But now, Eva took the initiative to show her passion for him in front of so many people.

This made Mattham feel somewhat excited and proud. His heart shuddered. The woman before him seemed different than all the others. Right now, Mattham had the impulse to marry Eva.

"There's no need to rush things."

Mattham made his intentions clear. As long as Eva reached his requirements, he would allow her to enter.

However, Eva still insisted. "I don't want to wait that long. I want to be by your side immediately to learn"

"Whew!"

Mattham felt his breath quicken. A weird feeling rose in his heart.

Looking at Eva's persistent expression, Mattham smiled and nodded. "Since you insist, I won't stop you. But I must warn you to be careful. If even the

tiniest thing goes wrong, you must give up at once."

"The Alchemist Association will look after you. Of course, I will personally supervise this assessment as well."

"Thank you, Mr. Chiang!" Eva nodded gratefully.
