Chapter 7
Delia brought out her laptop and logged in to a website!
“This website has the world’s top physicians on it. Everyone’s ranking is clearly stated here. Although I’m renowned in Rivenesco, there are only intermediate grade physicians here. There are still other ranks like the top grade physicians, titan grade physicians, and at the top, the Medical Sage, who is a miracle grade physician!”
Delia clicked on the website as she spoke.
“The veteran physicians we have in Lovellia are top grade at most. Only a few world–famous ones can be considered titan grade physicians…
“As for the Medical Sage, the world only has one! That’s my teacher, the Medical Sage, Foxtin!”
Delia lit up when she mentioned her teacher’s name. She felt deeply honored and incredibly proud of that!
Thinking back on how she had become Foxtin’s student, Delia felt like it was something from a dream.
Back then, she had been a newly graduated medical intern. She had limited knowledge about many things.
When she had just joined the physician’s website, no one responded to her when she asked tough medical questions because of her medical intern status.
When the best of the best, the Medical Sage, found her and said he wanted to take her on as a student, she felt like she was daydreaming. She had been so shocked.
The utter joy and excitement had been overwhelming.
‘She had become the Medical Sage’s sole student without quite knowing what was going on. From then on, her horizons had broadened.
Her medical skills had improved greatly ever since, and she rose through the ranks. Finally, she had received the label of intermediate grade physician on the website.
This grade was difficult to achieve even for physicians who devoted themselves wholly to medicine in Lovellia.
Delia’s medical career had been established. She became a famous figure in Rivenesco and also won the title of Doctor Beautiful. She reveled in it.
“There’s no medical conundrum in this world that my teacher can’t cure. He can definitely save Eli!” Delia said confidently.
Her sisters nodded.
Who could doubt the skills of the only Medical Sage in the whole world?
Delia quickly found Foxtin’s profile and sent him a
message.
At the Langley family villa, Dustin’s phone beeped just as he was about to go to sleep. He picked up his phone.
The corners of his lips curled into a mocking smile.
As expected, Delia had messaged him.
Delia had started learning medicine when she was still a school student. She was always interested in medicine and had spent many years studying it. She eventually became a physician after her graduation.
Although she dedicated a lot of time and effort to her studies, she did not have much talent. It was difficult for her to become a truly skilled physician…
Dustin had been the one who had taught her his skills and helped her in her success.
[Mr. Foxtin, are you there?] Delia’s message sounded playful and informal with a cute emoji.
In the past, Dustin would have found it adorable. But when he recalled Delia’s face as she and her sisters kicked him out of the house, he only felt disgust. NôvelDrama.Org holds © this.
[What is it?] Dustin’s reply was brief.
Delia did not find anything strange in the response. Her teacher had always been brisk.
[Mr. Foxtin, an insolent crook injured my youngest brother. He’s now in excruciating pain. Can you help me treat him?] She pleaded.
[Tell me more.] Dustin smirked as he typed that,
He was a crook? How interesting!
[My brother was struck in a few spots by that crook. He’s in immense pain. The pain is even worse than childbirth. Please help me figure it out!] Delia was very worried.
[He must have been hit in several pain points on his body. If they’re all hit at the same time, it causes a ‘chain reaction and feels like being bitten by a million insects.] Dustin replied.
The Wyatt sisters became even more worried.
[Mr. Foxtin, please tell me how to treat him!] Delia pleaded.
[It won’t help even if I teach you. With your level of skill you won’t be able to help him. If you try something recklessly, you might even kill him.]
Delia was distraught.
Her sisters were appalled too.
How could Elijah’s condition be so serious?
That Dustin was nothing but trash. How could he know such sinister methods?
Amara looked at Delia meaningfully. Delia understood what her sister was trying to say.
[Mr. Foxtin, could you please come and save my brother?] Delia replied.
[Why should I save him?] Dustin responded coldly.
The sisters froze.
For a moment, Delia felt lost.
In the past, Foxtin had agreed to her every request….
What was going on today?
[Mr. Foxtin, please help me! You know that blood is thicker than water. It causes me great pain when my brother is in this condition. You wouldn’t want your student to be sad, would you?] Delia pouted and replied.
This tactic had always worked in the past.
[Why should it matter to me if a member of the Wyatt family lives or dies?] Dustin was ruthless.
Delia was stunned.
Her sisters looked at each other.
What was going on?
[Mr. Foxtin, what’s wrong?] Delia asked.
[Enough! Don’t address me as your teacher anymore!] Dustin replied indifferently. [From this day onward, you are no longer my student!]
The Wyatt family villa fell deathly silent.
Delia could not believe it, and she felt panicky.
She did not understand. What had she done so wrong for Foxtin to drop her as his student?
“Della, did you do something to make Foxtin angry?” Amara asked.
“I didn’t do anything! Everything was fine yesterday! He even said he’d help me become a top grade physician…” Delia said in a daze.
“Whatever it was, you have to make things right!” Amara was stressed.
Foxtin was the Medical Sage. He was the only one at the miracle grade in the world!
Delia nodded.
[Mr. Foxtin, did I do something wrong? I apologize wholeheartedly. Please don’t be angry at me, okay?] Della replied sweetly. 1
[Delia Wyatt, you are no longer my student from this day forth!] Dustin replied. You’re not worthy of being a student of the Medical Sage!]
Delia was completely dumbfounded.
She was no longer his student?
She did not even know why this was happening.
Her sisters were stunned as well. They looked at each other in confusion.
What was going on with the Medical Sage? Why did he abandon Delia?
“What are you waiting for? Keep apologizing to him!” Amara felt anxious.
The Wyatt family was respected highly simply because Della was a student of the Medical Sage. With that kind of fame, the Wyatt family enjoyed endless benefits
They could not afford to lose such an important connection and relationship.
Delia snapped out of her daze and hurriedly typed out a message admitting her faults and sent it.
[You are not connected with this user. Please add this user as a friend before trying again.]
The notification from the system made Della go pale.
She had been unfriended…
“Add him as a friend again! Keep sending requests until he accepts!” Amara said.
Delia quickly obeyed.
“The request failed.” Delia’s legs felt weak.
If the request had failed, it meant she had been blocked.
“How could this be?” Delia’s eyes welled up with tears. She was distraught.
In the past, her proudest achievement was when she became the Medical Sage’s student.
With Foxtin’s help, she improved rapidly. She had been overjoyed because she had been able to cure many complicated illnesses. She had received praise and compliments because of her teacher.
But all that was gone.
She was no longer the Medical Sage’s student.
“Why is this happening? What in the world did I do wrong?” Delia howled. She was losing her mind.
She had wanted to ask the Medical Sage’s help to save Elijah, but she had failed miserably. Worse, she had been stripped of her role as a student…
How was she supposed to accept this?
“Delia, I’m in pain! Help me!” Elijah cried out.
Delia was an emotional wreck at the moment. There was no way she could focus on Elijah.
“No… I have to find Foxtin and figure out what’s wrong. I need to beg for his forgiveness.”
Delia made up her mind.
She was not willing to lose the prestige of being the Medical Sage’s student.
