With a smirk on his face, Matthew picked up his phone to open up his gallery. After finding the video, he placed the phone between Hudson and Koven before tapping play.
As the two men watched the video, their jaws nearly dropped. Was that really them? Was this some kind of setup? Of course, knowing Matthew's character, Koven and Hudson did not think that he would intentionally orchestrate this just to film a prank video.
After watching the video, Koven awkwardly gave Matthew and Lucy a chuckle before lowering his head and quietly sipping his milk.
"I'm sorry for the trouble yesterday," Hudson sincerely apologized to Lucy and Matthew.
Matthew gave them a devilish smile without saying a word. Then, he stood up and said to Lucy, "Let's go. I'll drive you to work."
Lucy looked at him curiously and asked, "Why don't we go together later? Hudson, Koven, and I are going to the same place anyway." She smiled at both of them.
"Let's go first. They haven't finished eating yet."
Lucy nodded and said to them, "There's more food in the fridge if you want."
After that, she went upstairs to get ready while Matthew waited by the door.
Only then did Koven realize that they needed to figure out how to get there, so he asked loudly, "Matthew, how are we getting there?"
Matthew was quite satisfied to hear that question, so he placed a set of car keys on their dining table.
"You can use this car. Take your time eating. No need to rush." With a mischievous smile, Matthew walked toward the door.
Just then, Lucy came down, and the two of them left together.
"Hey, Matthew's actually quite nice
He even feft us a set of car keyset
Let's slowly enjoy our meal, then." Koven giggled happily with the car keys in hand.
However, Hudson's intuition told him that Matthew was not that nice.
After finishing their meal, the two cleaned themselves up a bit and decided to get changed at the. company. Taking the car keys from the dining table, they walked toward the garage.
Matthew's house was huge, so it took them a while to find the garage.
"I just don't understand why
Matthew and Lucy choose to live in such a big house when it's just the two of them. Don't they find it too quiet?" Koven looked around the vast space, feeling annoyed.
"You'll understand when you're as rich as Matthew."
Koven rolled his eyes at him and headed toward the car without a word.
"This is the car," said Hudson as he opened the car door.
In the next second, a pungent odor wafted out of the car, making Koven and Hudson gag.
"Matthew is really something else by leaving us this car..." Only then did Koven finally understand how evil Matthew was. Looking at the mess in the car, Hudson could not fathom how they managed to sleep in it last night.
"The driver's seat is clean. Do you want to drive, or should I? One side of the back seat is clean too," Hudson calmly said. "You drive. I'm feeling a bit dizzy right now," said Koven, pinching his nose as he got into the back seat.
