CHAPTER 24
IRIS LOU POV
Three days passed when I woke up in the orphanage and I don’t know who brought me because even if I ask bea she always answers she doesn’t know because she said she was asleep at that time so I mind it.
“What are you doing again?” Dexter asked on the sofa because I was sitting in my swivel chair and signing the papers. I don’t know that I’ve been thinking that thing happened three days ago because I wonder who brought me home to the petals orphanage.
“Nothing.” I answered him and went back to signing the papers in the middle of what I was doing when my cellphone suddenly rang so when I looked at it I saw dad’s name.
“Hello dad how’s my son?” I said directly on the other line when I answered his call while I was signing a piece of paper with my right hand.
“What? I thought my grandson was already there?” He asked in surprise so I stopped.
“What did you say dad? Can you repeat it?” I asked him.
“I sent him, there 2 days ago.” He says.
“Damn it dad its been three days and Elias didn’t show up to me!” I insisted.
“Damn it, if he didn’t show up to you then find him right now! I will never let my grandson in danger!” He shouted on the other line so I also shouted angrily.
“When something bad happens to my son dad I don’t know who to blame!” I shouted before I dropped the call.
“Dexter! Move and trace my son location!” I told him so he quickly took his laptop while I was pulling my own hair because offrustration. Because of my thoughts, my phone suddenly rang and I saw my child’s number so I rested and answered it quickly.
“Son where are you mommy will fetch you.” I started on the other line, but suddenly my concern returned and I was nervous when I heard a different voice on the other line.
“I’m Sorry Mrs. this is Dr. Reyes i would like to inform you that your son already give up.” The promise on the other line made me confused.
“What do you mean I can’t understand you.” I insisted.
“Please be here at Life Hospital to see your son.” He answered and he drip the call because I was annoyed, I threw my cellphone on the wall before looking back. Is dexter on the sofa who was also looking at me, I ignored him and just left the office while bad aura was coming out in me, I straightly look at the way until I reach the elevator and getting inside I just looked at the elevator door without emotion until it opened so I went out before walking out of the building and got in my car and took it to the life hospital. time passed I arrived there so I went in and went to the counter before asking.
“Where’s the room of Elias Duke?” I asked the nurse coldly so she looked at the book she was holding, before looking back at me. “Amm Ma’am are you the mother of the child?” She asked.
” Yes, I’m his mom.” I answered. so she nodded before answering which made my head heat up.
“Ma’am your son is in the morgue.” She said so I hit the counter because of her answer.
“ARE YOU F*CKING KIDDING ME? HOW CAME THAT MY SON IS IN MORGUE !!!” I shouted at her angrily so she jumped a little. This content provided by N(o)velDrama].[Org.
“M-ma’am it’s true, just be there and see it for yourself. “She said weakly and stuttering so I just left her before I can do something else bad to her. I went to the morgue and saw many people covered with white cloths while there were names written on their respective beds, I prayed that what the nurse said earlier was not true.
As I walked and looked at the names my eyes caught the name Elias, I slowly approached it while trembling because I could not bear to see my own son lying on that bed. As I approached that very bed I trembled holding the white clothes as if it was covered with his head and gradually removed it, With the loss of that white cloth I also fell on the cold cement because I saw the pale face of my son.
“N-no, It can’t be he’s not my son.” My lips trembled as I said that.
“I-its n-not true, i-its just a nightmare.” I said shuttering before shaking my head because of what I saw. I stood up again even though my two legs were trembling before looking at the corpse again, I couldn’t stop the tears from flowing in my eyes because I could see my son’s condition. with brushes on his face and his lips were so pale. I slowly approached him before touching his face.
“No, this is not you.” I shuddered and when I touched his face I could feel his coldness.
“NO YOU CAN’T LOSE YOU JUST HAVE ME THEN YOU LEAVE ME TOO!” I cried and hugged his cold corpse as tears ran down my two eyes.
“Wake up so you can’t leave the world, son.” I said weakly as I hugged him tightly.
“Damn I’ve already lost an important person in my life once but I don’t know if there’s anything more to the pain I felt this day.” I said and my lips were trembling.
“S-son D-don’t do this to me, you’re my only remaining strength.”
“Wake up.”
“No, I can’t forgive the one who did this to you. they’ll pay for this The lives they took will also be the price.” I said coldly before releasing his cold corpse. I knew that no matter what I said and did, I would never be able to bring his back to life, the pain I felt increased, as I watched his look, I cried incessantly as I clenched my fist.
“You don’t deserve this!” I said emphatically while looking at his pale face. I also noticed the seam on his head.
“I’ll make sure that the person who did this to you will pay double.” I couldn’t stop crying and just getting on my knees because I couldn’t bare to see my son’s condition, my hands were trembling and I had washed my face.
“DAMN IT !!!” I cried out with all my might because of the anger building in my chest.
“I WILL MAKE SURE TO GET JUSTICE AND MAKE THE PERSON WHO DID THIS TO YOU REGRET FOR TAKING YOUR LIFE, AS LONG AS I AM STANDING AND BREATHING !!!!” I shouted angrily. He will regret the he was born in this, as he killed my son, I will never forgive him. I stood up and approached my son again before caressing his cheek.
“If I only knew that this was how you would end up I wouldn’t have left and preferred to stay by your side.” I spoke softly and cried non -stop.
“You wouldn’t have experienced this scenario if you hadn’t left Greece, I’m a careless mother.”
“Dad shouldn’t let you leave greece alone.”
“I’ll make sure to get justice using my own bare hand.” I said coldly and its was also the last shed of my tears.
