A Relentless Pursuit for Love

Chapter 798

Chapter 798

For some reason, Sage calmed down when she heard from Jace that her parents were still alive.

She was not as shocked as she thought she would be. Perhaps, she already knew that they were still alive somewhere. What puzzled her the most was the fact that her parents saved Jace! How did they even cross

paths?

“You guys…”

Sage did not even know how to phrase her question. “Did you go into another timeline with

them?”

When Yale interrogated Jekyll, he heard about the concept of a parallel timeline from him. This was still stuck in Sage’s mind.

“Another timeline?” Jace looked puzzled. Then, he shook his head and explained, “No. When I woke up, I was on an island.”

He smiled bitterly. “When I woke up, I saw my teacher. He taught me how to paint when I was young. I thought I was already dead, and then I saw another you.”

Sage’s eyes narrowed. “Another me?” Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.

“Yeah. She looked like another version of you.”

Jace smiled. “Aunt Primrose looks almost exactly like you. You two look so much alike.”

By this point, Sage was convinced that Jace had actually met her mother. Indeed, the two of them did look alike.

Perhaps she inherited more of the mother’s gene when her mother was pregnant with her. Besides, Primrose maintained her youth very well.

When Sage was a child, Primrose was committed to comparing her beauty. Sage gradually developed her aesthetics because of her mother.

“Tell me more.” Sage said anxiously, “Don’t wait for me to ask!” Jace chuckled again. “Okay.” Then, he took his time and explained everything. “The day you came back from Yathein was the same day Jekyll was scheduled to be taken to Tovres. I was worried that something might happen, so I went over to see.” Jace recalled his experience six months ago with a sorrowful look. “When I was at the elevator, I ran into Luther and Yale. Luther said you were coming back, so I followed them to the airport.”

Jace narrowed his eyes. “While waiting for you, I received a call from Cole. He said Jekyll escaped. The police had exchanged fire with Jekyll’s men. I could not wait any longer and rushed over. When I got into the car, Yale followed me and got in my car too. When we rushed to the scene, it was all chaos. The car was going too fast, and Jekyll’s car came crashing into ours….”

Boom! The loud noise rang in Jace’s mind. The memory had become so vague in Jace’s mind. He could barely remember the details other than Jekyll’s twisted and evil grin. He also remembered Yale shouting, “Look out!”

It was too late to dodge. His only thought at that moment was to keep Yale alive. Therefore, he steered sharply and avoided Yale’s side. When Jekyll’s car came crashing onto them, their car flipped too. When he thought about it again, it felt like a nightmare. Sage paled, listening to the story. She felt a chill down her spine. She still remembered Luther telling him that something had happened to Jace when she got off the plane that day.

When they rushed to the hospital, all they saw was his lifeless body

His corpse… Sage jolted in fear. “So, that body at the hospital… it wasn’t you?” “It wasn’t me.”
