Chapter 91

Chapter 91

Speaking of which, Louisa seems really interested in studying abroad. What if we talk to Uncle Stephen and suggest she goes overseas for a couple of years?

“She’s having a tough time in her classes, so maybe a new environment could help her do better,” Mikayla proposed. She discreetly left out the fact that she had seen Louisa that morning.

Most importantly, Louisa could have changed her future by going abroad. It would have made it impossible for Jensen to pursue her any further.

Yet, Eduard said, “Matilda insisted that Louisa stay in the country since she’s her only daughter. It seems she’s on the lookout for a suitable partner for Louisa.”

Hearing that, Mikayla figured that Matilda was growing protective of Louisa. It was likely she wouldn’t consider Eduard’s advice. It might take some time to convince her.

The two took a leisurely stroll before heading back home.

Noticing Eduard’s fatigue, Mikayla gave him a shoulder massage to help him relax. Once Eduard went to rest in his room, she made her way back to the workshop.

Following a few hours of work, she successfully crafted a calming perfume. It featured a blend of herbs like vetivers and bergamots, customized to suit Wanda’s preferences and health. NôvelDrama.Org (C) content.

Remembering Mike mentioning that her perfume aided his mother’s sleep, Mikayla decided to make some for him as well.

After finishing the last perfume, she was so tired that she fell asleep as soon as she got into bed.

When she woke up, the sun was already high in the sky.

Stretching her weary body, Mikayla felt refreshed. pleasant to sleep in her own bed.

She made up her mind; for the entire month following her divorce, she would do nothing but chill at home. She planned to laze around and enjoy Eduard’s company–just the thought of it filled her with joy.

Mikayla got out of bed and took a quick wash. Without bothering to tie up her hair, she headed downstairs straight away.

To her surprise, she heard Eduard laughing in the backyard and wondered what had brightened his

morning.

As she stepped into the backyard, she saw Eduard teaching Jerome and Mike how to do yoga.

“Pay attention; this is how you do yoga,” Eduard instructed.

Dressed in suits, Jerome and Mike clumsily mimicked Eduard’s gestures with serious expressions. It was such an amusing sight that Mikayla couldn’t resist a chuckle.

Jerome caught her voice and turned around. He seemed surprised for a moment before giving her a stern look and standing tall. Meanwhile, Mike greeted Mikayla with respect.

I’ve made some calming perfume for your mother, Mr. Ashford. I’ll have it delivered to you later,” Mikayla

Thank you, Mrs. Miller,” Mike replied.

Spotting Mikayla’s arrival, Eduard smiled and said, “Good morning, Kay. Jerome has been here for a while. How about you join him for breakfast?

“Meanwhile, Mike and I will be doing some yoga.”

Mikayla attempted to express her disinterest in Jerome’s company, but chose to stay silent to avoid dismissing Eduard’s kindness.

Instead, she went back inside the house and asked the maid to bring out the perfume. Upon turning

around, she saw Jerome following her indoors.

Mikayla looked at him with a frown and asked, “What brings you here?”

“I’m here for a municipal meeting nearby, and I figured I’d drop by to visit Grandpa,” Jerome calmly

explained.

Mikayla didn’t doubt his words. At least he was considerate enough to visit Eduard.

Seeing the satisfaction on her face, Jerome found an inexplicable calm settling in his heart.

He noticed that she hadn’t freshened up or changed from her pajamas, adding to her sweet and laid–back charm. Her eyes gleamed with sparkles, sparking an irresistible urge in him to steal a kiss. Jerome gazed at her and quietly inquired, “Were you upset with me yesterday, Mikayla?”
