Chapter 33 VINCENT Was Not For You
Chapter 33 VINCENT Was Not For You
My dad glared at me with an unhappy face and snorted. "Isn't it because you were not at home in the
early morning that we thought you were missing, so we called the police?"
I deliberately pretended to be speechless and picked up the breakfast in front of my dad, indicating
him. "I went out for a running and bought breakfast for you. I'm not missing yet!"
At this time, my mother also came out of the living room with a very unhappy face. When she saw me,
she scolded. "Who are you lying to? I comforted you that you were not in the bedroom at midnight. I
thought you were going to do something, but you didn't come back until morning. Tell me, what did you
do last night?"
I almost blew up at the words. "Last night, Vincent forced me to go out. Now, my mother found out.
What should I do? What should I do? What should I explain?"
"I... I couldn't sleep last night, so I went to the rooftop to watch the stars after midnight!" I had no choice
but to say to my parents.
Fortunately, I used to go upstairs to watch stars, otherwise, I really had no excuse to hide.
My dad was the first one to believe and forgive me. He bent down and took soy milk from my hand, and
then said to my mother. "Ah, my daughter is old enough to know how to do things properly. She said
she was going to watch the stars, so it's absolutely right!"
My mother seemed to be still worried about me. She just glanced at my face and saw the evidence left Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.
by Vincent biting my lips last night.
"What's wrong with your lips?" Looking at my almost swollen lips, my mother still asked me.
Only then did I remember what Vincent did last night. My eyes flickered , I stammered and explained.
"Um, I didn't see clearly last night when I went to the rooftop. I knocked on the ground!"
This explanation was too silly. Everyone could see that I was lying. If I was really cheating, why am I
fine on my face and hands, but my mouth?
What kind of person was my mother? She was a experienced person. This was not an explanation at
all. She glared at me. When she was about to speak, my father came over and said. "Well, well, it's not
easy for her to come home. What are you doing?"
After that, he held the soybean milk and bread in one hand and held my mother's shoulder with the
other hand, indicating him to go back to the kitchen. My mother had doubts in her heart, but because of
my father's intervention, she had to give it up and go with my father to the kitchen to get breakfast.
When I saw that I had finally passed this stage, my mind couldn't help but be in a state of chaos. It was
too dangerous. Looks like even if Vincent didn't order me to go back, I wouldn't dare to stay at home
any longer. Who knew how my mum would sharply interrogate me later? If I were to reveal it, wouldn't I
be... dead?
After breakfast, I told my parents that I would go back in the afternoon. My dad thought I would come to
stay at home for a few more days, but he didn't expect me to go back so early. So he looked at me with
some disappointment and asked. "You just came one day? Stay a few more days?"
I smiled helplessly and explained. "No, the president of the company is not on holiday, so I only ask for
leave today. If I leave more, it should be several times more than the expense!"
The problem was that if I didn't come back in the afternoon, it wouldn't be as simple as losing money,
but... alas...
My father was a reasonable person. Knowing that he couldn't keep me, he sadly complained. "Alas,
after you leave, there are only me and your mother left at home. We usually worry about you the most.
I don't know if you are well over there!"
"I'm fine. I'm fine. Don't worry!" I faked a happy smile and comforted them.
My mother suddenly said something about me and Vincent. "What are you going to do with that
Vincent?"
I looked up at my mother and said lovely. "I'll listen to you!"
In fact, could I do it? I could only do it. Even if they didn’t agree, could I leave Vincent? I could get rid
of him. Instead, I'd rather let my parents be happy and didn’t worry about my affairs now.
My mother's meaning was actually very clear. She only wanted me to live a happy and stable life and
did not wish for me to be blessed or prestigious. "It's all up to you. Your father and I are the
transparency. However, we hope that you can find someone in every respect, but don't be so ridiculous.
There are many rules in the rich family. I don't wish for my daughter to be looked down upon!"
Hearing this, my father quickly nodded and said to me. "Yes, yes, that's what I mean. My daughter is
the best in my eyes. She is not ordered and looked down upon by others. Besides, there are so many
men in the world, we don't have to climb up to the noble ranks. We live the most ordinary life, so we
don't have to worry about food and clothing!"
"Well, mom and dad, I know!" In fact, I was very satisfied with the opinions of my parents. I thought so.
Perhaps it was because I'd been instilled with such thoughts. Since I was young that I'd always been
rational when it came to dealing with Vincent. If he knew he couldn't do what he couldn't do, then he
was a fool, an idiot!
After eating the food that my father made for me in the afternoon, I took my suitcase back. As soon as I
arrived at the station, Vincent called. "Are you gone?"
"We're just about to leave. We're at the station!" I answered honestly.
He seemed satisfied with my cooperation. He smiled at the other end of the phone and said to me. "Be
honest. Don't go home tonight and go straight to my hotel!"
I rolled my eyes and immediately rejected him. "No, I have to go home. There are still some things that
need to be dealt with!"
Although I didn't explicitly say what was going on, I could sense from Vincent's serious tone that I was
about to confront Christopher. He asked me proudly."Are you going to go back and confront him?"
I was silent for a moment. Then I said in an ambiguous tone. "I haven't decided yet. Let's talk about it
later!"
I really didn't have the chance to think about whether I should confront Christopher in person. Because
I knew that once this layer of paper was revealed, everyone would become strangers. Between me and
him, there would be no chance of turning back!
Vincent seemed to be dissatisfied with my vague attitude and said angrily. "Jasmine, do you know you
are cheap? Is it really worth it for such a man?"
I looked up at the scenery outside the window, and my mind was in a mess. "I can't explain it to you
clearly..."
I couldn’t really explain it with Vincent. Christopher and I have been together for four years. Before this,
our relationship had always been very good, and we got along very well with each other. Apart from the
reluctance of their family, I even felt that our marriage was a beautiful and happy one. But ever since
Vincent appeared in my life, everything had changed!
