Chapter 18

Her punishment

Elina Her punishment

Elina tiptoes downstairs, glancing sideways like a criminal, just to avoid being seen. How is she gonna address him, that she had been thinking about? Aziel calls him, sir or boss. Sambas is a master. The butler is the sire. Which would she pick?

Master, sir, boss, sire.

She was confused about what to address him with. Calling his name would have been better. But she won’t dare. She only did that, cause she had been drunk. Not on her right senses. She got down to the large sitting room and no one was there. He wasn’t there.

Where is he?

She thought the butler said he was here, waiting for her.

“Are you just coming Miss Elina?”

The voice startled her. She turned to see the butler standing behind her.

“He already left.”

“He left. I thought he wanted to see me.”

“He did, he waited, and you didn’t come.”

“I came as fast as I could, immediately You left.”

“It isn’t done that way.”

She scoffed.

“How long did he wait. Five minutes.”

“Five minutes and thirty seconds.”

“You don’t have to be that accurate.”

“We value time here, ms Elina, our time is life to us. You should sit for breakfast. Buka would serve you breakfast”

He took the other way, entering the kitchen. But stoped by Elina’s voice.

“I thought I was getting punished.”

“You still would, after you’re done eating.”

“Who’s gonna give me, you?”

“The sire himself.”

“But He isn’t here.”

“He would be here soon. And he made sure, you are before he comes.”

“Why is he acting all nice all of a sudden”

“You shouldn’t take that as being nice, you don’t even know what you’re gonna face yet.”

“Is it bad?”

“I can’t say.”

He now and walked away, into the kitchen, without stopping to look at the curious Elina. She paced in front of the large table. She was scared of him, he wasn’t just some ordinary man she’d met, in the diner or the streets, he was different, handsome but gruesome.

“Ms. Elina.”

The butler called.

“Your dinner is served.”

“Oh..”

She sauntered towards the end of the room, down to the dining area. The bulter bow and left. Elina sat on the seat, beholding the breakfast set in front of her, in her entire life, she would never eat a meal as huge as this, filling the entire table as if they were gonna feed an entire generation.

She took the spoon and began digging into the food.

“You don’t know if the food is poisoned or not. You’re already eating it.” with the spoon in her mouth. She turned towards the voice, just in time to see Aziel leaning on the wall. With a lackadaisical look on.

She swallowed up.

“I would die anywhere.”

“So confident already.”

“When he comes back. He doesn’t show Mercy does he?”

Aziel shook his head. And strolled towards the table. He doesn’t show mercy, but he had shown him mercy so many times, that he had lost count. He took a seat. And watch her eat.

“Are you okay?”

She replied in with a nod, stuffing a spoonful in her mouth, keeping her head down.

She didn’t need to reply he could see it himself she was not fine, not a single bit. She was forcing herself to.

“If you need anything…”

“I’m not gonna die, am I?” she doesn’t wanna talk about it, it was hurting more than it seems already.

“Not sure.”

He shrugged his shoulders.

“How long have you been here?”

“Five or six years.”

She raises her head from the food. Giving him a quick look.

“If anyone was to know if I would survive it’s you. You’re the person, I had to talk to..” she leaned closer.

“Help me would you..” she clasped her hands together.

He looked at her, trying to hide the smile, creeping up his face. She was cute.

“I don’t think I can help you with this. You called his name out loud. And….”

“Yeah, I know, puke on him.”

“That was gross.”

“I don’t know what to do.” she sighed.

“You’ll be fine. At least you won’t die just yet.”

“What if he locks me up again, I don’t think I can survive another time in there.”

“Why’re you so scared.”

He chuckled.

“The thought of seeing him is terrifying,” she replied, taking another spoonful.

He should be terrifying, he’d told him, she would be back, without being forced to, she did come. Though it was a week late.

His gaze moved towards the door, Kenzo stood beside it, with his hands in the pocket, which he was quite addicted to. Two of his upper button unbuttoned. His hair was a bit wet.

Since he was being caught, he began walking in fully. How long has he been there?

Aziel stood up. And bowed.

Elina dropped the spoon, instantly swallowed the one down her throat.

Kenzo?

He was here.

She stood up, giving a quick spun around, not knowing her dress got hooked on the chair she sat on. Falling face down with the chair she sat on. She was lucky, it wasn’t broken.

Ouch!

Her dress tore. Bad things happens whenever she was nervous and scared. This was just part of it. She tried standing up on her feet. It was like she sprained her ankle.

Damn!

“Are you okay Elina?”

“I’m perfectly fine,” she replied, still trying to get up.

“You need help?”

“No, I’m fine.”

She heard Kenzo’s scoff. Walking away from them. She cussed the ground. It was better this way than seeing the disappointing look he had on.

“Cmon I’ll give you a hand.”

Aziel stretched out his hands to her and she took it. Helping herself up.

“You sprain your ankle.”

“Hmmm.”

“Can you walk?”

“I can try.”

“Bring that thing here!”

He called her a ‘thing’ how dare him, refer to her as a thing. She wanted to smash his head with her fist. The proud jerk.

She covered behind Aziel, looking down at her feet.

He was on the chaise, crossed-legged with his hands placed on his thighs.

“You have something to say to me?”

“I-I-I…” she shut her lips. Before slipping nonsense.

“Leave Aziel!”

“Yes sir..”

Elina’s grip on his shirt tightened. He tried freeing himself from her grip. She shook her head. Pleading with him not to let go.

‘You’ll be fine he mouthed, taking her hands off him.

She watched her lifesaver, walked away from her, how is she gonna get out of this now?

“The least offer I can give you is to have your head on my table.”

She blinked trying to comprehend what he meant. Her head was on his table.

He was gonna have her beheaded.

Though her head was down all the while, she was tempted to look at him. But she won’t dare. Instead, She fiddled with her nails, standing uncomfortable because of the sprained ankle.

Kenzo watched her every move, what could he do to her, she was so weak. Easy to break in two, he’d never encountered someone as weak as her before, he noticed how she talked freely with Aziel, and sambas too, she was a little weird. He doesn’t know if she would survive if he decided to torture her a little. She was so small and naive. Someone like her shouldn’t be here, but what can he do, she was already here. And the only thing he could do was protect her, cause she was already part of the house.

He shift his gaze back to her, she was still shivering with fright. He wasn’t gonna let her off the hook either though he wanted to.

But a lesser punishment would be better. She could take a couple of whips. He smirked. Standing up, she moved backward. Gradually moving to the wall.

He followed her.

Until her back was stroke the wall, she let out a low gasp. Seeing him, towering over her. He trapped her, placing a hand on the wall.

He lifts her chin, with his finger.

“Your punishment; you’ll clean, the entire house, every room, and every corner wash everyone’s clothes in the mansion, cook and serve every guard. For two weeks. A single mistake, you’ll sleep in the dungeon, stripped. And then you get whipped.”

“Whipped?” she gulped.

“Fair enough?”ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .

“Fair enough,” she whispered.

How Is that possible, not making a mistake, making mistakes was something she couldn’t avoid, it was like her nemesis.

He pulled back from her.

“And that starts now.”

“Now?” she lifted her head.

“My ankle?” she pointed at the spot.

“I don’t care.”

He turned away from her, giving her his back.

“I know you don’t, you scumbag! Trash!” she imagined herself saying.

“You’ll rot in hades!”

He turned.

She quickly composed herself.

“When you’re done, Ezra would attend to you, in two weeks.”

“Bastard!” she screamed if she did scream.

The voice in her head was so loud, she thought he heard.

Arrgh! She wished she could scream and cuss at him.

The inhumane.

Kenzo Brennon.
