Chapter 47
Kim walked over to the desk and slammed the two pregnancy tests down on it.
“Congratulations Ice. You’re going to be a dad. Oh and, FUCK you!” She turned around and stormed out.
Ginger had heard the raised voices and after Kim left walked into the office to talk to Ice.
“You heard Kim. You’re fired, get your shit and get the fuck out of this Salon.” Ice bellowed.
Mallory left the office and grabbed her stuff and finally left. Ice was rubbing his hands through his hair and the back of his neck in irritation.
“I’m sorry Ice. I should have spoken up sooner. I’ve noticed Mallory watching you. I also think she was the one who cancelled Kim’s appointments. And I think it’s strange that this alleged man only called when Kim wasn’t here, and Mallory was the only one to answer the phone. None of the rest of us have gotten a single call.” Ginger explained.
“Fuuuck! Can you lock up?” Ice asked.
“Sure. Go talk to Kim.” Ginger quietly said.
Ice left and went home, but Kim isn’t there. He called her cell and no answer. He called Raine and she’s not there and hasn’t talked to her since she left earlier. He then called Sam, but she was at work and hadn’t seen or talked to Kim since yesterday.
“Where are you Red? Damn, I fucked up again!” He called I. T. on his cell. “Hey, I need you to track Kim’s cell and tell me where she is.”
“Ok brother, give me a few and I’ll ring you back.” I. T. agreed.
He called Ice back and told him she was at Sam’s house. He decided to give her the night to cool off. He knew she’ll be at work tomorrow. No way she’d miss work. He’d go in early to talk to her.
The next morning at the Salon, Ice got there before Kim did. He wanted them to talk before the others arrived.
“Red you feeling, ok? You look sick?” Ice asked.
“Yeah, it’s called morning sickness.” Kim retorted.
“Let’s talk.” Ice demanded.Text content © NôvelDrama.Org.
“I think you said enough yesterday.” Kim remarked.
Ice grabbed her hand and pulled her into his arms and hugged her, then pulled her into the office. He locked the door. Then he sat down on the corner of the desk. Kim crossed her arms aggravated at him.
“Look. I’m sorry. I was a jerk. A jealous one at that. I should have never accused you of being with someone else. I’m just insanely jealous of you. The thought of another guy touching you makes me burn with rage. If there’s a next time, I’ll try to keep my cool. I’ll ask questions before I jump to conclusions. I’ll ask you and take your word over anyone else’s. I promise.” Ice explained.
“And that whole scene with her was staged. She knew you were on your way. She walked in here and started to unbutton her shirt. I told her multiple times to stop and get out. I told her I’d make sure she didn’t have a job if she kept up her crap. She was just buttoning her shirt up saying she was sorry she misunderstood my looks at her. I made sure she knew I never had any ideas about her at all.” Ice replied.
“Well, we did have an evil conniving bitch creating most of the situation. God, now I have to hire someone else.” Kim groaned.
“So? Are we good?” Ice pleaded.
“Yes. But, if I ever see another woman near you half dressed like that, I’m going to rip her hair out and you’re gonna have blue balls for at least a month!” Kim retorted.
“Trust me, one night without you is punishment enough. Baby I couldn’t sleep without you next to me. Please don’t ever leave me again! As a matter of fact, I want us to get married now. I want you tied to me in every way. And I want us married before the baby. I don’t want our child to be born a bastard.” Ice explained.
“Wow! That’s a sucky proposal! It started out sweet and went downhill from there.” Kim replied.
“Sorry baby. You know I ain’t good with mushy love stuff.” Ice smirked.
Then he pulled her to him and leaned down and kissed her with all the love he had in his heart, soul, and body. His kiss showed her what he had trouble saying.
“Before I agree to marry you, I want to know everything she did. Everything that went on in the office.” Kim replied.
“Well after you called saying we need to talk; I came into the office to get my mind off of wondering what you wanted to talk about. I was distracted when she walked in and didn’t pay attention to her until she was standing beside me at the desk. She started unbuttoning her shirt saying she could make me feel better and take my mind off my troubles. I told her to stop.” He explained.
“I told her I wasn’t interested in her. That you are the only woman for me. That’s when she started talking about some guy calling for you every day. I was trying to get her to tell me more but also trying to get her to button her shirt back up. I finally threatened her, and she started buttoning it up when you walked in. I told you I would never cheat on you and I think you know that I am a man of my word. I never was into cheap pussy. And the one night stands I had, all new the deal.” Ice explained.
“You don’t strike me as a liar. At least I’ve never known you to lie to me or anyone else. Was this the first time she tried anything?” Kim asked.
“She did a little harmless flirting which I shot down as soon as she did it. I mostly ignored her, and I never encouraged her.” Ice replied.
“Why didn’t you tell me?” Kim demanded.
