Chapter 2
It hurts... my whole body hurts so bad. Sean! Hang on. But, why can't I move my body? Content is © by NôvelDrama.Org.
Lisa slowly opened her eyes and tried to remember what happened. Her head ached and was
spinning. She saw herself lying on the floor of a cold and dirty house. But, why? Didn't she fall into the
abyss? Is this heaven? While observing the ceiling of the house, she tried to get up.
"Sean ... ouch," she cried, wincing in pain.
Then, she heard someone talking to her, and that person was right beside her.
"You're awake," he said.
Lisa was surprised, she immediately turned to look for the source of the voice. In the dim night, she
saw the figure of a shirtless man leaning against the dirty wall of the house. He seemed to be holding
his injured arm. Dark red bloodstains appeared to cover almost the entire left arm.
"Who are you? Where is this? Where's my brother?" Lisa asked confused and scared.
“We are at the bottom of the abyss, or rather we are inside an empty, uninhabited house located at the
bottom of the abyss. I didn't see anyone but you, and who am I about? I'm just an adventurer, that's all I
can tell you,” he replied.
“Then why am I in this house? Ouch." Lisa winced in pain for the umpteenth time as she tried to move
her left arm a few centimeters the other way.
"I found you lying unconscious with wounds on your legs and arms, lucky you don't seem to have a
concussion, because I can see that your head is not injured and not bleeding," replied the stranger who
had to admit he had amazing abdominal muscles, though seen in the dim night.
“Thanks in advance, but why are you here too?” Lisa asked curiously.
"I fell off the cliff over there, a different fall point from you when I was walking down the cliff," said the
handsome man.
“Then did you see a brown wolf that fell with me? Is he hurt too?” Lisa asked curiously.
“Sorry, I didn't see a wolf that fell with you. If so, he might have run away. I only found you alone.”
Lisa thought hard enough because she clearly remembers that her body was pushed down a cliff along
with a brown wolf. But, why was she the only one found at the bottom of the abyss? Then where is the
wolf?
"Is there anything else you want to ask?" asked the handsome man while holding his injured arm.
“Please help me find my brother. Please! A wolf is threatening his life, "said Lisa frantically.
"How do you find your brother? Meanwhile, we are stuck in this old house. We just need to wait for
reinforcements to arrive.” Then, the handsome man leaned his body against the wall and took a deep
breath.
"What if the wolf eats or hurts him?" Lisa asked frantically.
"The wolf will not eat him, he will only hurt or kill him."
"What! I won't let my brother get killed. And how can you be sure that the wolf won't eat or hurt him?
While running in the middle of the forest, we saw a human body that was divided into several pieces,
the condition was very pathetic.”
"Then how do you help him? While you're just hurt like that. Get some rest tonight. Tomorrow I will find
a way out of here.”
"Do you think there is a way out of this forest or out of this abyss?" Lisa asked curiously, her eyes
looking at the man with a probing look.
"There must be, it's just that we don't know yet. Oh yes, we have been talking without knowing each
other's names. My name is Scott, what's your name?" asked the handsome blue-eyed man.
"My name is Lisa. Oh yeah, I saw your arm bleeding? Are your wounds still bleeding?” Lisa asked.
"The bleeding has stopped, it's just that my body still hurts."
“It's the same with my arms and body that hurt a lot when moved. How will reinforcements know if
someone is trapped under the abyss?” Lisa asked.
“Wouldn't your family members try to find you? They are our only hope. We'd better rest to recuperate
and gather strength. Good night, Lisa. If you need anything, wake me up."
"Thank you, Scott. Have a good rest."
Lisa watched the man, he fell asleep quickly while one arm was holding the other injured arm and his
breathing sounded heavy. Then, the girl turned and stared at the ceiling of the old house wondering
what would happen to her brother. She hoped that some miracle would make Sean free from the wolf
and out of danger.
Meanwhile, when Lisa fell off a cliff. Sean tried to reach her hand, but it was too late. The girl fell into
the abyss along with a brown wolf. At that moment, from the front, the white wolf jumped at him and
tried to attack him.
Sean fell to the ground and the white wolf's forelegs held Sean's body lying on the ground, then just as
the wolf was about to bite him, several gunshots were heard from the direction in the forest not far from
the place where Sean was attacked by the wolf.
The white wolf looked surprised at the sound of gunfire coming from the direction of the forest, he
turned his face and tried to observe the situation behind him. Just then, a large group of police and
rescue teams arrived fully armed and carrying other safety equipment.
They stepped forward and tried to free Sean from the wolf's grip while shooting several bullets into the
air, trying to scare the white wolf in front of them. Then, several people brought the burning torches
towards the white wolf so that he was scared.
All the efforts were successful. Seeing the many gunmen and fire torches aimed at him scared the
white wolf and pulled its sharp claws and feet away from Sean's body which was lying on the ground.
The white wolf ran quickly, leaving them all behind. After the white wolf left, several rescue team people
immediately approached Sean and helped him stand up and treat his injuries.
Then, from the direction of the forest, a man ran while calling the names of Sean and Lisa. Sean turned
his head and shouted, “Dad, I'm here. Hurry up, help Lisa."
After the man arrived and stood in front of Sean, panting and panicking, he asked, “Sean, are you all
right? Where's your sister?"
“Dad, she fell into the abyss. Hurry up and help her!” Sean asked.
The man panicked, even more, then he asked the police and other rescue teams to help him find Lisa
at the bottom of the abyss. Without waiting long, that night they immediately rushed down the cliff
leading to the bottom of the abyss while calling the girl's name. However, the abyss was too deep and
covered in thick fog, the rescue teams and police had never descended the cliff. No one knows for sure
how deep the abyss is and what lies within it.
"Lisa, Lisa," they shouted.
