Fatal Kiss Of The Vampire

Chapter 50: What A Terrible Day For Her

“What?” A touch of confusion flashed across his face; he didn’t understand the meaning of this network terminology.

“I mean… Are you so nice to all the girls?” She tilted her head and waited for his answer.Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g

Under the big sunglasses, there was a smile in Ethan’s eyes. “Only to you.”

As soon as he’d finished, the atmosphere in the cabin became strange. At the thought of what had happened last night, Kylie’s face instantly flushed.

She really wanted to beat herself up; she should have known that she should not bring up such an awkward topic.

Fortunately, Ethan was not insatiable. “The helicopter will be parked in the middle of the mountain. Be careful on the way to the hotel,” he said.

“Don’t worry.”

On the way back to Seattle, Ethan was still a little worried, so he made a call to Nate Bass.

“Send someone to the Baleney scenic zone..”

“Are you worrying about Kylie? A rainbow will not appear before the rain. You will not cherish something if it’s too easy to get,” Nate said in a strange tone.

“My woman is to be loved dearly,” Ethan replied seriously.

“… Ethan, you’ve won.”

Seeing him being so nice to Kylie, Nate’s heart hurt. The attitude between Kylie and himself was completely different.

In the old days, Ethan had left him in the Amazon under the pretext of full development. If Nate had not developed into an excellent escape artist, he would have been food for the crocodiles.

He was wondering why things were different when it came to Kylie…

“OK, OK! I’ll send someone to keep an eye on Mrs. Parker, and I’ll also take care of her personally.”

“Mm-hmm,” Ethan contentedly replied in a magnetic and low voice. “There’s a thirty million dollar business for you.”

“Hmm? My big bro, I have a bad signal here.” Nate could not believe what he’d said. Picking his ear, he asked for confirmation: “You said you’d give me a business? Since you went abroad last time, you’ve paid no attention to me. I’ve depended on myself for the past five years!”

“You don’t want it?”

“Yes! Why not!” Nate suddenly jumped up. “It’s just… you’re suddenly so nice to your bro, I’m not used to it…”

He recalled what he said just now, and tried to figure out the reason for the change in Ethan’s attitude. Is it because I called Kylie ‘Mrs. Parker’? He thought.

Finally, he had discovered Ethan’s weakness.

As soon as Kylie arrived at the Baleney scenic zone, she overheard the crew discussing the reports about her. Even the woman who was only responsible for their lunches looked at her with cold eyes.

Presumably, the gossip had spread to the mountain.

The lunch woman began criticizing her: “Being a newbie but making trouble all the time! The gossip even reached the headlines. What nerve! Shame on you!”

The other handymen echoed her: “Later, the reporters will visit the crew. She’s gonna be the headline again. Look at her neck! Tut…”

“Goddess Khloe, I heard that you’re in the same company as her. Does she act like this among the company?

“How could this kind of woman be in Garcia Entertainment…”

Listening to their discussion, a trace of helplessness showed on Khloe’s face.

“The forest is big enough for all the birds to live in, so the company cannot keep an eye on everyone.” As soon as Khloe had spoken, she quickly covered her mouth as if she had spilled the beans. “I mean, there are all kinds of reporters, we can’t take everything they write seriously.”

However, her ambiguous words made everybody believe even more that she was a woman with a messy personal life.

They continued gossiping until the producer reminded them that it was time for shooting.

On seeing the crowd disperse, Khloe sneered and asked Lucas Jackson, who was standing beside her: “Everything’s ready?”

“You can rest assured, I’ve sprinkled paprika all over her costume. Look at the hickeys on her neck, she won’t dare to take off the clothes anyhow,” answered Lucas.

When Kylie entered the dressing room, she was a little shocked; a new actress had been added to the crew.

It was the woman who had played the wife in the Century Building, that time that Kylie had played the mistress. Her name was Lily Lawrence.

Lily had been invited by the crew to play the elder sister of the heroine. Her part in the drama was not very big; she died in the end because her fiancé took a fancy to the tea maiden’s younger sister, the role played by Kylie.

Although her company had agreed, she was extremely reluctant to take on the role. She had just abused Kylie in their last film, and now it was her turn to be abused by Kylie.

That’s why she had pretended to be sick and had been absent from the opening ceremony.

Kylie reckoned that Lily had received a call from Khloe, knowing that she was also in the crew. Those two had a good relationship. The reason why Lily had finally agreed to join the crew was probably that she knew that Garcia Entertainment had invested thirty million dollars in the drama.

Lily was getting dressed. When she saw Kylie come through the door, she immediately made a sarcastic expression and didn’t seem to care whether it was known that they did not like each other.

Lily had a bad reputation in the entertainment industry. She was the mistress of a big boss, and that rich and powerful man had spent a fortune for her packaging, and he’d bought her a nomination for the “Best New Artist.”

But now that she was the “Best New Artist,” she was getting upstaged by a “newbie” and was surely unhappy.

“Isn’t this the gossip queen of our crew? There must be some luxury iced coffee for you. You’re not going to drink the water prepared for us, right?”Speaking these words, Lily threw the cup of water that Kylie’s assistant had prepared for her.

Kylie did not even take a look at her. Instead, she sat down on the chair in the corner and closed her eyes, memorizing the script.

This was what she was like; she never cared about the messes when she was working.

“Why are you acting so superior?! I’m your senior, and you just ignore me?” Lily threw the clothes handed over by the dresser to the ground.

Kylie didn’t even move but continued to memorize her script.

Her assistant hurried to pick up the costume and whispered in Lily’s ear: “Look at the hickeys on her neck, she must have had lots of fun last night. She’s too tired and will fall asleep now.”

Only then did Lily notice that Kylie’s head was resting on the back of her chair, lips slightly open. It seemed that she was really asleep.

“Sleeping so soundly? The bitch must be pretending.”

She was right; Kylie was pretending to be asleep. As soon as she’d seen Lily, she’d known she’d have to deal with her muttering for a while.

Since she’d been the headline for so many gossip reports, it was troublesome for her to quarrel with Lily now, no matter who would have the upper hand. It was much easier to pretend to be asleep.

The dresser knew that Lily was picky, so she carefully asked: “Beauty Lily, your make-up and dress is OK. How do you like it?”

“The costume is so loose, and it makes me look like a middle-aged woman!” Lily vented her anger to the dresser.

“Where is it lost?” The dresser was nervous.

“Everywhere! Looks ugly!”

Even though Lily’s character in the drama was only twenty-three years old, in the old days, a woman who was not married by twenty-three was called a “leftover woman.” So, the costume she was wearing was certainly more mature than she was used to.

Lily kept on being picky and raised her voice. Nevertheless, Kylie still slept safe and sound in the corner.

The dresser dared not answer back but altered the costume as requested, staring at Kylie with anger from time to time.

She certainly knew that Lily was abusing Kylie by ostensibly pointing to her. What a terrible day for her.

Because of the limited space in the scenery zone, all the female artists shared one dressing room. Therefore, if Lily did not go out soon, she could only continue to pretend to sleep.

The dresser almost re-made Lily’s costume, but she still murmured with discontent.

When the deputy director came in to find her, she reluctantly stood up and kicked hard at Kylie’s chair.

It was Kylie’s turn to get dressed. The dresser made noise by messing up the hangers. She rolled her eyes and roared: “Kylie Finch if you want to sleep, you should go home!”

Kylie rubbed her eyes and sat up. “Sorry, I’ll change my clothes now.”
