“What do we tell my parents?” I ask confused as to the reason we have to go this way.

“We can tell our parents and family the truth but the public doesn’t have to know we can say we have been dating for months and finally we are marrying,” he said.

“Please don’t tell me we have to sign some documents?” I ask with a pleading tone and he smirks at me.

“Only if you want to,” he says.

“Please no” I plead. “It always makes it difficult and frustrating” I finish up.

“So you know you will eventually fall in love with me,” he says probably lightning.

“Mr. Lorraine I’m your dreams,” I said and he laughed too.

“Soon to be Mrs. Lorraine you wish,” he said with a smile. “You know that name actually suits you”

“So we have to make sure I’m not showing up for the wedding,” I say this is the only solution we both agreed on and it seemed logical. So far he has been a really considerate person, he isn’t annoying or frustrating. He might just be a casual husband. And in the future, if he doesn’t like me then he can divorce.

“Then we have to get married in the next two months,” he said and I nodded in agreement.

“We will meet my parents tomorrow and yours the day after,” I say and he frowns. “What is it?” I ask and he looks away sad.

“It’s nothing,” he said as if it was something.

“There is definitely something and I know it,” I say and he still refuses any form of eye contact. “Tell me, I’m sure I can handle it,” I say and he just nods.

“Only my mom is alive. Dad died a few years back” he said sadly. How could I forget that, that was when he took over the company and became CEO.

“So sorry for going to your private matters,” I say apologetically.

“I made you tell me tales about your parents so it’s even I guess,” he said, stopping the tears from falling by blinking back.

“So we see your mom the day after tomorrow” I adjust and he nods. “Any special things I should know?” I ask him. You can never be too careful, can you?

“Well my mom is the sweetest person I know so I don’t think you will have any problems. You guys will get along just fine” he said.

“Okay since we are telling them what happened then there is nothing to watch out for with my parents” I did thinking of the possible ways my parents may react. “But they will be freaked out because I was this perfect star daughter that everyone knows. I rarely drink and when I do it’s during the festive periods so drinking in a stupor and falling in bed with a hot bachelor isn’t really my thing” I say in one breath.

“So you think I’m hot,” he said ignoring the rest of my speech.

“That’s all you got?” I ask with amusement.

“You find me hot” he was probably not going to let the topic go.

“You are good but not as good as my cousin Nicholas Forest or Aaron Lancaster or James Forest,” I say and he frowns “Or have you seen Adams Hills or Mark Lockhart they are dreamy. And Jacob and Joseph Gates are to die for” I say and his jaw literally dropped to the floor.

“You know them all?” he asked me and I nodded. “Wow, are they going to be at the wedding?” he asked.

“Of course, we have a strong connection,” I say and he smiles. “No business during my wedding. Even though it isn’t the best wedding I dreamt of I still want it to be as memorable for me as possible” I say.

“I wasn’t going to talk about business during the wedding. It’s going to be after” he said and the conversation kept on going. It was natural.

“I better get going,” I say standing up from the seat.

“Do we have to put on a show?” he asks while he escorts me to the door.

“No need, we will be having our wedding immediately,” I say as I spot my car parked beside Noah’s car. The driver hurries to me and gives me the key. “Thank you,” I murmured. I may be rich but I was taught good manners.

“See you tomorrow. I will be there around evening” he says as I walk away.

“Let’s make it dinner time” I suggest over my shoulders.Text © by N0ve/lDrama.Org.

“That sounds nice,” he comments. I opened my car and slid inside. I wave over to him and he does the same before I drive away.

When I get home Rita is running around to prepare dinner. The garlic bread smell hits my nose hard and I don’t feel like eating. How do I bail on that when I need to talk to them?

“Hey Rita, is there actually something here that isn’t made of garlic?” I say sitting down on the stool by the counter.

“Rachael, you are back. I’m doing good thanks for asking and today I made a lot of cookies” she said, not bothering to reply to my earlier question.

“I’m sorry Rita,” I say and she chuckles before turning to me.

“It’s okay, rough day?” she asks. She always seems to understand me.

“You will never believe it,” I said.

“Tell me all about it,” she said, turning back to her vegetables. If it was any other day I would have poured out my mind but my parents have to be the first to know before anyone else.

“I’m just stressed. So garlic-free food?” I ask going back to the original question.

“I will take that as ‘I don’t want to tell you'” she said and she knew me too well.

“Garlic free food?” I asked, rolling my eyes.

“You like garlic that is why I always use it to cook” she said “Are you okay?” she asked.

“Yes I’m fine, it will be nice to eat something that is garlic free,” I said standing up. “I’m going to freshen up,” I say.

“Be down soon Mom and Dad are already here” she said referring to the front door opening. Weirdly, she calls them Mom and Dad.

Later at dinner while I force myself to take down the garlic bread and some dipping I always forget. As the dinner came to a close I decided to ask tell them.

“Mom, can I invite someone over tomorrow?” I ask and she looks at me.

“Of course honey we haven’t met any of your friends,” she said I was a nerd so do nerds have friends?

“Okay Mom, dinner time tomorrow,” I said and she and my dad were so happy.

“Rita do you hear that, that means an extra special dinner tomorrow night,” Dad tells Rita who is seated by my side.

“Yes Dad,” she said and he smiled at her. She was like a daughter to them.

“Rachal, is it a boy or a girl?” Mom asked and I was uncomfortable.

“You have to wait to see,” I say and she nods excitedly.

“I’m so happy for you” she exclaimed.

And when you hear why I have a friend over you will be so disappointed in me. I love you guys but please I am wrong so don’t punish me.
