Chapter 6: Have to Get Him Back
Chapter 6: Have to Get Him Back
He definitely understood what I meant, but he did not respond. He was as calm as usual.
"Get out of here. I don't ever want to see you!" Bell roared at me.
I turned and glared at him, forcing out through teeth, "Don't think that I'll thank you for letting me go
today. I'll never forgive you for everything that you've done to my mother and me!"
After that, I rushed out of the courtyard and got into my car. I tried my best to suppress the pain and
dizziness as I sped off.
My tears flowed as I drove. All the pent-up frustration, bitterness, and pain finally bubbled to the
surface.
Phoebe and I were both Bell's daughters, but our lives were complete opposites. She had grown up
with the best of everything. She had the best education, mingled with high-flyers, had a bright future
ahead of her...
On the other hand, my father could not care less about me. I had been forced to fend for myself from a
young age. I had only managed to achieve the small success I had at the moment because of my own
hard work.
The worst part of this whole thing was that Phoebe had even taken away the man that I liked.
I refused to accept it. I had to get revenge on them!
Because of my injuries, I would not be able to go to work for the time being. When I got home, my back
was hurting like hell, and I had a headache to boot. I called May Lee.
When she heard about my condition, she immediately hung up the phone and came to see me.
She was shocked by the way I looked when she arrived at my place.
"Queena, why didn't you call the police?"
"Call the police? They won't be able to interfere in a family's personal matters, no matter how
nonsensical they are." I forced out a smile.
May hurried towards me to check on my injuries. She lifted my shirt, her eyes reddening when she saw
the blood on my back. From NôvelDrama.Org.
"Is he your biological father or a monster? How could he do something like this?!"
"He's never seen me as his daughter. I'm more like his nemesis," I said bitterly.
I could not apply the medication myself as the injury was on my back, so May had to do it for me.
"Are you just gonna let this go?" she asked as she spread the medication on my back.
The medication burned as it seeped into my skin, the sensation adding to my pain. It also made my
hatred grow deeper.
"In the past, living a peaceful life was all I'd ever wanted. I didn't want to get too involved in the Jones
family's matters. Now, though, I've changed my mind. I have to get revenge on them..."
"How are you going to go up against them on your own?"
May's words hit a sore spot. Initially, I had thought of taking them down in a fight to the death, but it was
only a brief thought in the heat of the moment.
Once I calmed down and thought things through, I knew that it was not a good idea. Eventually, I
thought of Leonard. I had to use him to carry out my revenge.
May was not aware of Leonard's relationship with our family. Since I already had a rough idea of what
to do, I would use the next few days to plan everything out while I rested.
Firstly, I had to find out about Leonard's background and routine. Then, I had to try my best to get close
to him. After all, we had had a relationship of sorts before, so it probably would not be too hard.
In fact, our relationship was not something that he could just discard with a simple sentence. Judging
by the way he had acted, he probably did not want Phoebe to know about us. Perhaps this could be my
starting point.
After some sleuthing, I was shocked to find out who Leonard really was. Never in my wildest dreams
would I have expected to have shared a bed with such a powerful man.
