Love’s Final Reveal

Chapter 100

The next day, Emil from the neighboring country disappeared. The ambassador’s explanation was that Emil had important matters to attend to, so he returned early.

Although Mason and Jasmine found it strange, they felt more at ease after Emil left: They no longer needed to accompartim and were happy to relax.

There was no reason for Dominick to stay there. After breakfast, he was ready to leave.

With Emil gone, Jasmine called Lola over during breakfast.

Except for the designated seats for the president and his wife, the rest were random.

“Mr. Sinclair, you can sit next to me. I have some business matters to discuss with you.”

Mason extended the invitation as soon as Dominick entered.

Scott happened to be following Ethan and hurried over upon hearing this.

“Mr. Lewis, it’s Mr. Sinclair’s first time having a meal here, so if you let him sit next to you, he’ll be even more nervous.

“If you want to get to know Mr. Sinclair, you should take it slow, right?” Scott said while taking the seat next to Mason.

Mason frowned slightly, but Scott made some sense, so he didn’t dwell on the seating arrangements.

Dominick’s peripheral vision swept over Scott’s face, thinking that Scott was indeed something.

Considering what happened yesterday, it was surprising to see him there for breakfast today as if nothing had happened. “Regarding Prince Emil’s return to his country, you should have been informed, right?” Dominick chose a distant seat and sat down.

Scott’s expression froze for a moment, thinking that Dominick was saying that on purpose.

Ethan stifled a laugh. Although he hadn’t said anything earlier, he hadn’t expected Dominick to have something for Scott there.

“Mr. Sinclair, you’re joking. How could Prince Emil inform me in advance about his return?” Scott replied, trying to diffuse the situation.

Dominick didn’t respond, and his silence made Scott even more embarrassed.

“Mr. Sinclair, feel free to visit us more often. I see you and Ethan are about the same age, yet you’ve achieved so much. That’s truly remarkable.” Mason expressed his satisfaction and admiration for Dominick.

Since Dominick had disregarded his own reputation to protect Lola, he had left a great impression on Mason.

“Dad, I’m also excellent, right? Why don’t I hear you praising me like this?” Ethan pretended to be jealous.

Jasmine chuckled and scolded, “You’re already grown up. Are you still comparing yourself like this? How childish.”

The atmosphere among them was pleasant, but Scott felt even more awkward.

“Ms. Lewis is here.” Bruce’s voice came from outside.

Dominick remembered what Lola had said yesterday, and his expression darkened slightly. This is property © of NôvelDrama.Org.

The number of seats were just right with no extra seats, and the only available seat was next to Dominick.

Lola’s gaze swept around and landed on the seat next to Dominick.

She pressed her lips, hesitated for a few seconds, then walked over as if nothing was wrong.

“Layla, why are you just arriving? Sit down and have breakfast. I’ve noticed your weight hasn’t been increasing lately. Are you losing your appetite?” Jasmine expressed concern.

Lola slowly pulled out a chair, absent–mindedly responding, “I’m fine.”

Just yesterday, she had said such things to Dominick, so sitting together for breakfast felt a bit awkward.

Lola thought she should find an excuse to switch seats with Ethan.

“I suddenly remembered I have something to attend to at my company, so I’ll leave first. Thank you for your hospitality.”

As soon as Lola sat down, Dominick stood up. He politely bid farewell and left without even looking at Lola.

Lola was slightly stunned, watching Dominick’s ting figure. She couldn’t quite describe the feeling in her heart.

It was as if her mood sank along with her heart, plummeting to the bottom.

Lola’s emotions were captured precisely by Scott. Scott frowned slightly, and a hint of jealousy flashed in his eyes.

“Layla, after we eat, shall I teach you flower arranging? It’ll help you pass the time when you’re bored.”

Scott’s voice brought Lola back to reality, and she finally realized what was on her mind earlier.

Perhaps out of guilt or to remind herself that she was engaged, Lola agreed without hesitation.

“Okay.”

Ethan couldn’t understand Dominick’s actions. Was he sulking? What did they talk about yesterday?

“Layla, you need to…”

Scott reached out, trying to hold Lola’s hand to teach her, but Lola dodged.

Scott’s hand hung awkwardly in the air, and he looked at Lola

confusion.

“Scott, I… I can do it myself.” Lola seemed to realize that she overreacted and tried to explain awkwardly.

With a dark expression, Scott withdrew his hand. “Layla, you’ve grown distant from me recently. Did anything happen?

“We used to be so close, and you used to tell me everything. Why are you distancing yourself from me now? Is it because of Dominick?”

Lola furrowed her brows slightly. “Scott, we were close when we play plans

Scott was taken aback, feeling a bit awkward,

were kids. I could barely remember that now.”

“So, are you saying your feelings for me are/not the same as before?

“Because of Dominick’s appearance, you’ve changed your mind? What did he do to you? What did he say?” Scott was starting to get emotional.

He hated how Dominick still meddled in his affair with Lolal

Lola thought of how Dominick left as soon as he saw her today, feeling a strange sense of desolation.

“No, it’s not like that. Mr. Sinclair has only saved me a few times. As for anything else, he hasn’t said a word.”

“Layla, his help must have come with a purpose! If a stranger is always there for you when you’re in danger, what does that mean?

“It means he’s been lurking around you, ready to show up whenever you’re in danger. Such a man is crazy. You must be wary of him!”

‘Was Dominick really like that?‘

Lola couldn’t help but think of Dominick’s handsome face.

She didn’t really understand what kind of person Dominick was, but her intuition told her he wasn’t a bad person.

“Scott, calm down. Mr. Sinclair doesn’t seem like a bad person.”

Scott’s expression instantly darkened, shocked that Lola not only rebutted him but also sided with Dominick!

“Layla, I’m your fiancé, and we’re childhood sweethearts. Yet you choose to believe an outsider over me?”

A strange emotion flashed in Scott’s eyes, and he suddenly appeared upset. “It’s okay. Maybe I’m not worthy of your trust. It’s my fault. I didn’t show up in time when you were in danger. It’s all my fault.

“You think Dominick is better than me now, so you have changed your mind and don’t want to continue our engagement with me. I won’t say anything more.”

Scott looked sad and accused Lola of having a change of heart.

Lola’s heart softened.
