SORRY
Layla walked slowly into her room. She had a gloomy look on her face as she walked in.
She had been feeling very down after what Nolan told her.
His words to her actually made her very sad and she had been sitting at the balcony for a very long time and only decided to go into the room as she began to feel very cold.
Opening the door slowly, she saw a dark Shadow standing by the window side, she immediately guessed that he was Nolan. Judging from the way he stood. Besides, he was the only one who could even go into the room asides from her.
Nolan immediately turned the moment she walked in. A cigarette was held between his fingers and he had a rough look with his usual black clothes that he loved wearing.
The moment she saw his face, his words rang in her head again. He called her stupid and naive. And it hurt her very much.
She literally thought that they had reached the stage where Nolan would come to understand more than anyone. Because Layla could agree to herself that she needed him and his support.
“Where were you?” He asked in a dry raspy voice but Layla decided to ignore him as she was not in the mood to speak with him.
Ignoring his questions, she walked into the closet, grabbed her pajamas before going to the bathroom to freshen up. After freshening up, she came out to see Nolan standing there seemingly waiting for her.
“Layla, I think we should talk?” He requested. He must have gone too hard on her. Especially when he was trying to gain her trust. He shouldn’t have done what he did. He should have controlled his anger earlier and taken things easier with her.
“Layla..” he called but Layla completely ignored him as she made way to the bed to retire for the night.
“Layla..” he called this time his voice a little louder. He extinguished the cigarette he was holding and kept it in the ashtray, before walking quickly to her.
“Layla..” he held her wrist, stopping her from moving forward.
“Let me go. I’m tired, I want to sleep..” she uttered as she slowly struggled with his hold on hers.
“Let’s talk…” he demanded as he took a good look at her face. Her eyes looked puffy, it seemed as if she’d been crying.
“Have you been crying?” He asked with squinted eyes making way to touch her face but she quickly moved away from him.
“I’m tired…” she yawned, placing her hands in front of her eyes in an attempt to cover them.
Nolan pursed his lips for a long time, his hold still on her. He really went too far, even to the extent of making her cry. It was very obvious that Layla had been crying. There was only one thing to do now which was to apologize to her.
But apologies were never his thing as he had never apologized to anyone in his life, he was a king and never saw the need to.
“Layla I…” he began but Layla cut him Short.
“Just let me go Nolan. I’m stupid and naive and I’m sure you want nothing to do with a stupid lady like me. So please just let me go..” she sniffled but Nolan’s hold on her was firm.
“Alright..” he sighed deeply, taking in a deep breath and he said in one go.”I’m sorry Layla..”
Nolan couldn’t believe that the words sorry just came out of his lips without hesitation.
Layla was equally shocked as those words slipped his lips, she couldn’t believe that he said those words. But she remained calm, not wanting to show her surprise.
“I apologize for calling you stupid and naive. That was a very baseless thing for me to do..” he added, holding both of her hands.
“You really disappointed me Nolan…” Layla suddenly broke down into tears, she couldn’t hold back her tears anymore.
“I really didn’t expect that from you, not after that prisoner called me a weak Luna. He literally downgraded me and you did the same minutes after. It really hurt me!” She cried pouring out her heart.
Archie’s words pierced her soul and Nolan added salt to the injury.
“I’m sorry..” he apologized, his voice now very low as he reached out for her. He placed her head on his chest while he stroked her back softly.
He strangely felt very sad as he could feel all the emotions running through her, Layla was hurt.
“I’m sorry..” he whispered to her ears. He wanted to be her comfort, the one she could rely on whenever she needed someone.
“You see…” Layla began lifting her head from his chest as she spoke.
“I’m already used to being called names by people, trust me Nolan I’m very used to that but today I really felt so…”
“I shouldn’t have said that..” Nolan interrupted wiping off the tears from the corner of her eyes.
“And I promise never to call you names ever again Layla..” he swore, tucking a strand of her hair away and he stared at her bare face.
Layla was really a beauty to behold, no doubts she was very cute and looked like a baby when she cried.
Nolan couldn’t help but smile when he watched her crying face.
“Why are you smiling?” She pouted, pointing accusingly at him. It was really rare to see Nolan smile but he looked so breathtaking.
“Because you look so cute..” he confessed, wiping off the last ball of tears at the corner of her eyes.
“I…I…” Layla stammered as her cheeks warmed up. How dare he flirt with her when he was still begging for her forgiveness?
“You’re not forgiven..” she frowned and she tried to struggle out of his hold.
“I’m not done talking…” Nolan smirked but Layla was still hellbent on leaving.NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.
He was still trying to hold her back when they both lost their balance and fell on the bed.
Layla on the bed, her face wearing a state of shock and Nolan who was on top of her had an amused look on his face.
Moving his hands upwards, he moved her hair to a corner leaving it bare before him.
“You’re really cute and delicate Layla…” his calm voice rang in her ears and Layla suddenly felt an indescribable feeling right at that moment.
She had a very innocent look, his eyes darted to her full pink lips and he suddenly began to miss how good they tasted.
He ran hands through her jawline before slowly moving it to her lips. He brushed his thumb against her lips.
Layla just laid quietly the whole time unmoving.
He leaned towards her, giving in to the temptation of kissing her. He slowly placed his lips on hers.
He began to kiss her slowly as he sucked on her lips.
But Layla didn’t open up to him as she remained unmoving, then she finally snapped out of her trance. She suddenly pushed him off her body with all the strength she could muster.
“The baby is tired and needs some rest..” she said hurriedly with a flushed face as she slid under the duvet quickly shutting her eyes close to sleep.
She was still finding it hard to focus when she felt Nolan circle his hands around her waist.
She didn’t bother to turn to face him or even talk to him.
“Good night..” he whispered to her ears, planting a light kiss on her neck.
