Chapter 58
Sabrina had no expectations of Nelson giving her any respect.
He could disregard her sincere feelings, even degrade them. That was because she felt she deserved it, having once loved him.
But she felt that Nelson had gone too far. She contemplated how heartbroken Cheryl would be if she witnessed her daughter's marriage in such a state.
"Mr. Nash would like to meet the owner of the brooch," Nelson added.
Sabrina insisted, "I'm not going."
If she went, it would only make it easier for Nelson to hurt her. She was no longer the Sabrina who used to come running whenever he called, who waited eagerly for him to notice her.
"You should go back," she uttered coldly.
"Let's handle each issue separately."
Sabrina was infuriated and snapped, "When have you ever handled each issue separately? Aren't you the one who constantly changes your mind? Why are you so shameless? Do you really think having multiple wives in this day and age is acceptable?"
"What do you mean by having multiple wives? You're blaming me for not bringing up the divorce. It was an accident, wasn't it? It happened to you once and another time to me. Now, we're even."
After all this time, they finally broached the subject of divorce.
Sabrina examined Nelson's expression as he said that. He seemed indifferent, as if he were talking about something as insignificant as the weather.
"Nelson Tucker, your words are incredibly harsh. The accident happened to me, and I didn't ask for your help."
Things would not have gotten so complicated if they had just gone their separate ways.
Nelson stared at Sabrina coldly and said nothing more.
A man could tolerate when a beautiful woman he was interested in was being temperamental, unreasonable, or defiant. However, it could quickly turn him off if she didn't know how to tone it down.
"Unfortunately, I was the one by your side. Not your beloved Gerald!"
There was a frostiness in Nelson's voice, signaling a warning.
Sabrina wondered why Nelson had to humiliate her with this. After all, he was the one who drove her to find Gerald.
Tears welled up in Sabrina's eyes. Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!
"Any man would be better than you!"
At that point, Nelson was truly enraged. Putting Gerald aside, how could she accept the chubby man who wanted to harm her?
He chuckled as he closed in on her.
At that moment, Sabrina regretted not keeping her emotions in check and getting into this argument.
Nelson's fingers tightened around his tie before pulling it loose. A second later, he pressed her against the wall.
Sabrina struggled frantically, using both hands and feet, and accidentally knocked a vase off the cabinet by the wall.
The loud noise prompted Cheryl to ask, "Sabrina, what happened?"
Sabrina felt incredibly nervous. She feared her mother would see them. Nelson, however, remained calm and collected.
"Let go," Sabrina ordered.
"Are you going with me or not?"
"You're always doing this."
Nelson would always pressure her by using individuals and matters close to her heart.
"It's not honorable, but it works on you!" Nelson retorted.
Seeing that Sabrina was still stubborn, he lowered his head and kissed her.
As the footsteps approached, she tried to push him away, but her efforts were futile.
"Fine. I'll go. Are you happy now?"
Nevertheless, Nelson did not release Sabrina. Instead, he became more forceful.
