Chapter 559
After Terrence got out of the car, Jackie, who was in the passenger seat, was a little confused.
"Mr. Jeremiah, I have looked into this man. He doesn't know how to run a company at all. Snyder Group lost all its money during the three years he was in charge.
"The situation improved after Mr. Xavier acquired the company. He also transferred the Snyder family's funds to others. He's stupid."
Jackie was under the impression that Terrence was the spoiled son of a wealthy family. Despite not knowing anything, he wanted to be a boss. No matter how much wealth he had, he would squander it. Jeremiah leaned back and murmured, "I don't need him to make money."
Jackie was even more confused after hearing this. But she knew Jeremiah's "less talk, more action" personality.
She changed the topic, saying, "Mr. Jeremiah, IM Enterprise has recently poached all of our artists."
"Have you not found out who's behind it yet?"
Jackie shook her head. "No, sir. All we know is that the company is registered overseas. I also found out that it's not just our company; most of the projects of other companies have been snatched away by IM Enterprise." Tired, Jeremiah massaged his forehead.
Jackie knew that Jeremiah was under a lot of pressure now. Not long after he'd taken over Titan Corporation, many of their important projects had been snatched away, and now the artists had also jumped ship. "Mr. Jeremiah, if the Zelnik family is willing to cooperate again, those shareholders won't dare to do anything to you."
"Yeah. I'm aware," Jeremiah replied before he proceeded to call Zoey.
Zoey had just gotten off the stage when she saw Jeremiah's call. With bright eyes, she took the call.
"Let's have dinner together tonight."
"Sure." Zoey hung up the phone with a happy look on her face. It was all thanks to Gemma that Jeremiah wanted to see her in person for the first time.
At the front desk, Gemma watched her daughter's performance and listened to the music Zoey used when dancing. For some reason, she felt touched. "What a nice song," she said to Mila.NôvelDrama.Org owns © this.
Mila smiled and replied, "Ms. Yandell spent a lot of effort to get the copyrights for this song from Ms. Cameron, the famous foreign composer."
After saying that, she let out a sigh "Alas, it's hard to get Ms. Cameron's music. As much as we want to get the copyright, she's refused us."
After hearing this, Gemma thought of Zoey's birthday coming soon and decided to help her.
Zoey came from backstage at that moment. "Mom."
Gemma stood up and hugged her.
"Mom, thank you," Zoey continued. "I won't keep you company tonight; Jerry asked me out to dinner."
"Okay." Gemma felt a little lost for
some reason. She eventually left the theater without letting the assistant and bodyguard who followed her accompany her.
After walking alone in the snow for some time, she heard a voice call out to her. "Ms. Zelnik."
Startled, Gemma turned around, only to see Yvette standing next to a car.
Yvette asked Ray to find out about Gemma's whereabouts. Knowing that she was here, she wanted to talk to her. After all, this was the person who had hurt Zachary.
With narrowed eyes, Gemma watched Yvette walk toward her. She noticed the wound on Yvette's face.
"Ms. Snyder?" She pretended to be clueless.
Yvette didn't keep her in suspense. "Ms. Zelnik, are you not the reason for what happened to my face?"
Gemma only calmly asked, "So you know, yet you still dared to come to me?"
Yvette was not afraid of her at all. A mother would do anything for her child, and so would she.
Gemma suddenly felt a dagger against her lower abdomen. She looked at Yvette in disbelief. "How dare you!" "Why wouldn't I?"
As Yvette used more force, the dagger pierced Gemma's clothes.
"My bodyguard is nearby. You can't escape if I die here." Gemma was still calm.
