Chapter 36 The First Woman in the Realest Sense of the Word
Chapter 36 The First Woman in the Realest Sense of the Word
Susan lied in bed but everything felt to her like a dream. She wanted to open her eyes and get a good
look of this man’s face, but for some reason he made her feel that everything was very surreal.
It felt exactly like she was living in a dream world.
When that man walked towards her, he said, “You are really careless. You have left your wallet in the
bar just now.”
Susan groggily accepted the wallet while feeling a little tense all of a sudden.
“Did you see the contents of my wallet?”
Edward always left room for her privacy, so he never really went through her stuff before, and at the
same time she made it a point not to intrude into his privacy too.
Therefore, there was a photo of her and Ruby in her wallet, and she would grab every chance Edward
was not around to check out that photo, to get a glimpse of Ruby.
“Is there anything inside that shouldn’t be seen?”
That man asked.
“Not really.”
“You can go now.”
Susan shook her head and retorted, “You are the one who should be leaving. I need to sleep now.”
“You aren’t that bad of a drinker to begin with. Why are you so drunk today?”
Susan let those words slowly burrowed into her eardrums as she continued to stare at this man in front
of her.
She muttered, “Jarvis?”
However, there was no reply after that.
Susan didn’t understand what was happening to her body. In fact, all the while, especially ever since
that incident happened, she never had a dream about that incident.
Whenever it rained, she would dream of a scene where she was kneeling on the road, not being able to
bring herself to her feet. She would allow the rain to splatter all over her and soak her thoroughly while
she continued to beg Kendra to tell her about Jarvis’ whereabouts.
Why was this time so different? Everything from that time was replayed right in front of her eyes.
First, she had met Kendra too, and then she had drunk too much alcohol. After that, she was sent by
someone to this hotel room, and she remembered her mouth being parched and dried. She opened the
door to get herself a beverage from a vending machine not far away, and after she returned to the
room, she let the door ajar. When she lied down in bed, a man entered the room.
That man slowly removed her clothes and was able to own her.
The first thought that came to her mind was that this man was Jarvis, so she had tried to produce some
response. She even questioned him about his loyalty and appreciation towards her after finally being
together with her.
Despite that, that man was silent all the time.
She couldn’t make out the man’s face, but she felt her current feelings overlap with what she once felt.
This sensation was all too familiar.
Susan sensed a hand touching and caressing her skin, and that man asked her, “Do you love Jarvis?”
Susan suddenly became clear-headed as she sat upright and asked, “Husband? Why are you here?
Why did you come into my room?”
Her questions were met with nothingness as the man gently planted a kiss on her forehead and slowly
pressed himself on her.
He was removing her clothes…
He was going to do it with her…
Susan didn’t know how to describe what was happening to her. She felt strangely shy and sensitive,
just like that moment from all those years before.
In the end, she lost consciousness.
However, before she was being pulled into a deep state of sleep, she was woken up by a ringing
sound. She immediately grabbed the phone and she heard someone saying, “Susan, you need to
come to the hospital now. There is a new development with your mother’s condition.”
When those words registered in Susan’s mind, she almost wore her clothes without thinking before
stumbling out of the room.
Her head was still muddy at that moment. She was sure that she had looked back one last time to
check the identity of the man who was in her bed, but she was shocked to find that she couldn’t
differentiate between Edward and Jarvis.
It felt like she was having a dream when all of her energy was depleted. She knew very clearly that she
had woken up from the dream, but somehow she still couldn’t see anything clearly.
Susan clung to the wall as she walked forward and the moment she laid eyes on Edward’s car, she got
into it and drove it down the hill.
She wanted to get a good look at the road ahead, but to her surprise, all she was seeing were mists
and fog blocking her field of vision. Even the car lamps couldn’t improve her visibility.
At that moment, her phone rang again. Susan picked it up and heard an urging voice, “Where are you
now?”
“I don’t know why I can’t see anything ahead at all.” Susan hastily answered.
“Stop the car now!”
The other person at the end of the phone suddenly barked an order after understanding what Susan
was saying.
Susan responded according to his words and she followed his advice to add his contact and send him
her real time location.
Susan shared her location and then proceeded to start driving once again. She didn’t know the details
about her mother’s condition, and she was really in a hurry, but the next second, all she could hear was
a huge clanking sound.
Then, everything blacked out for her.
…
When Jarvis reached Susan’s car according to her shared location, he had such a major shock that his
hands were trembling non-stop. Susan’s car was on the verge of toppling over the edge of the
mountain roads. It was just stuck at the barrier!
Jarvis pried open the car door and when he saw Susan’s face, he was so angry that his whole body
was shaking!
This woman’s skin contour was abnormally red, and after a brief check of her body, it was evident that
she had consumed some hallucinatory drugs which could aid her performance in bed!
Who had forced her to eat something like this?
Was there any other person other than Edward?
As he recalled their meeting last time and the fact that Edward was bragging about stealing Susan’s
virginity in the car, Jarvis felt herself overwhelmed by intense hatred!
What had this man take Susan as?
Why would Susan end up taking a drug like this?
Despite the confusion, he didn’t have much time to worry about such trivial details. Jarvis immediately
carried Susan off her car and onto his car, and sped towards the hospital.
He was a doctor specialized in the brain and heart, so he wasn’t very familiar with her condition. While
he was on the way, he also rang his good friend furiously. By the time Jarvis appeared in the internal
medicine department, a gentle and charismatic doctor draped in white coat was staring at Jarvis as he
let out a yawn. Content provided by NôvelDrama.Org.
“Fast, we have a patient to save now!”
Jarvis warned.
The other doctor simply glanced at Susan casually and said, “With how this patient is looking right now,
it is obvious that the effects of the drug has worn off. Have you detox her using the traditional way?”
He shot a meaningful glance at Jarvis.
Jarvis simply rolled his eyes at him, “Stanley, stop your nonsense.”
“She would be fine when tomorrow comes. You don’t need to prescribe any medicine for her, she just
need a good night sleep. She is sleeping as we speak now. I can’t figure out why you guys are out in
the open now. You guys should be in bed right now.” That man called Stanley started to analyse the
situation.
