Chapter 297
Chapter 297
The three of them went upstairs together, leaving Patricia no choice but to take another shower since she was drenched in sweat. When she pushed open the bedroom door, she was surprised to see a man on her bed and was staring at her! She almost shrieked. How did a man get into her bed? As soon as she was sure that the handsome face was indeed Isaac's, she let out a sigh of relief and hurriedly locked the door.
"How did you get up here?"
"Through the windows," he replied coldly.
Patricia was so exhausted that she finally sat on the bed and felt instantly refreshed. "President Arnold, you're quite skilled," she said with a smile.
Isaac took a whiff of her blanket, which was heavily scented with her presence. Indulging in a night of rest in her bed will be an incredible treat.
"Are you done with your workout?"
When Isaac entered the room, he didn't see Patricia, so he searched the entire house before finding them at the gym. Since she was exercising with the two boys, he returned to the room and lay in her bed while waiting for her to return. Moreover, the two boys were extremely vigilant, and if he remained downstairs, he would soon be caught.
She smiled as she said, "I'm exhausted. I'll never lie again." After getting to her feet, she went into the bathroom.
"Want me to help you wash up, Trish?"
She yelled through the door, "Get lost—"
Isaac smiled and let out a subdued chuckle, sounding sultry yet charming.
When Patricia was done with her shower, she went straight to bed. She closed her eyes as she snuggled into her blanket. Furthermore, she was far too exhausted today, and it was also quite late. Noticing that she didn't move after climbing into bed, he turned around and embraced her.
She made a slight movement and opened her eyes to glance at him. "Isaac, I'm very exhausted. I need to sleep."
He could empathize with how exhausted she was, especially considering that she had just finished a workout that lasted two and a half hours. He bent down to kiss her on the cheek and said, "Sleep tight!"
Patricia had long since drifted into dreamland and didn't notice a word Isaac said.
The sight of her peacefully dozing off in his arms was too much for him to bear. He believed their first encounter would happen tonight, but he had no idea this would happen. However, after observing how exhausted she was, he could not bring himself to torment her.
The following morning, when her alarm went off, he reached for the phone to take a quick look. Even though it was only 6:00 AM, he frowned and called her. "Trish, your alarm went off. Do you want to get
up?"
Since Patricia was still sleepy, she turned her back on him and ignored him. Then, Isaac silenced the alarm and muttered, "You're the one who refuses to get out of bed. Don't blame me for not waking you up."
At 8.00PM, she was roused from her sleep by Sylvie's scream. Her three children were standing by her bed when she opened her eyes. Then, she turned to her side and saw that Isaac was still asleep.
She was startled, so she hastily pulled the covers over his head before greeting her kids. "Good morning!"
Sylvie trotted to the side of the bed and drew the blanket back to see who the man was.
After a moment, Isaac opened his eyes, his hair disheveled and a smile painted across his handsome face as he greeted her in a deep, baritone, pleasant voice. "Good morning, Sylvie!"
She cupped her hands over her mouth and thought, It's Mr. Handsome! I'm so excited! Will he become our dad? Do they plan to marry soon now that they're sleeping together?
Scott and Stellan walked over and glared coldly at Isaac. Material © NôvelDrama.Org.
Patricia was the first to speak, saying, "I'm dating him now. He's my boyfriend."
Scott glanced at his mother indifferently, disappointment visible in his eyes.
However, Stellan narrowed his eyes and said, "Mommy, if you're just going out on dates and aren't
planning to get married just yet, don't bring a man home with you."
After all, this was their house rule, and when Patricia glanced sideways, she was reminded that she had requested the same thing from Sylvie. However, she violated her house rule and felt ashamed of herself.
