You Are My Mr Right

Chapter 116 Delusion

Freya knew that someone like Rylan, who hadn’t faced hardships, was very afraid of death.

“Let me go,” she said calmly, her tone direct.

Rylan didn’t relent. “I don’t believe you would dare to kill me.”

He thought Freya wouldn’t have the courage. Little did he know, as a doctor, Freya was no stranger to handling a scalpel. She slashed it into his skin. Rylan felt the pain, his hand touching the warm, sticky blood, terrified to the core.

“You, you, do you really dare?” He was so nervous that he could hardly form a coherent sentence.

“If you’re plotting against me, and I don’t act, then I deserve whatever happens.” Freya, adept with a scalpel, controlled her force, causing Rylan pain, excessive bleeding, and a serious visual impression, but it wasn’t a life-threatening situation.

This depended on her choice of location. As a doctor, she knew the human anatomy well. She knew where it could be lethal and where it had no impact on life.

“I was just afraid you would betray me. Leaving evidence is just a precaution, not an intention to harm you. If you don’t want to take the photos, then forget it!” Rylan quickly backed down.

Freya exerted a bit more pressure, making him wince. “Let me go!”

“You said you wanted to join forces against Elijah, didn’t you?” Rylan still believed there was enmity between her and Elijah.

Freya sneered, “You believe what I say?”Content rights by NôvelDr//ama.Org.

“You lied to me? But I did find out that he treats you poorly…”

“He does treat me poorly. Even if I want revenge, I’ll do it myself. I don’t like cooperating with others. It’s that simple.” She forced Rylan to move towards the door. “Open it.”

Rylan hesitated for a moment, feeling death looming too close with Freya. He quickly opened the door. Seeing Rylan being held hostage, his subordinates at the door instantly became alert, glaring at her. With blood flowing from Rylan’s neck, he dared not confront Freya head-on. He said to his subordinates, “Don’t come over. Let her go.”

Freya escorted Rylan downstairs. The lobby was crowded. Seizing the opportunity, she pushed Rylan away and sprinted. She ran so fast that she didn’t see the way clearly and collided with someone entering through the door. When she raised her head to apologize, she was astonished to see Elijah. Her eyes widened, and her eyelashes trembled. “Are you here to find me?”

Elijah’s face showed no expression, lacking the previous warmth, almost cold. He didn’t say a word, his gaze bypassing her to look at Rylan, who was not far away, holding his neck.

Terrified, Rylan yelled, “Quick, call 911! Are we all going to die here?”

Elijah probably knew how Rylan got injured. He glanced down at Freya and silently turned away.

Freya didn’t understand.

What was going on with him?

Freya bit her lip and walked up. She didn’t initiate a conversation with Elijah, finding his behavior inexplicable. She faced danger on her own, and now that she finally escaped, she hadn’t had a chance to catch her breath, and he was giving her a cold shoulder. She wasn’t in the mood to please him either.

By the car, as she reached for the door, Elijah, who was already inside, said to Xander, “Let’s go.”

Xander glanced at Freya and stepped on the gas. Freya was left standing there, inhaling a lungful of exhaust fumes. She scowled tightly.

What was Elijah’s intention?

Was he regretting being with her?

If he regretted it, he could just say it directly. She was not insisting on clinging to him.

Why be so cold, using this kind of silent treatment?

Freya hailed a taxi and went back home. Arriving at the villa, Linda saw her and immediately greeted her, “Madam, where did you go again?”

Freya mentioned some matters, then went upstairs. Back in the room, she took out her phone, which had missed calls. It was from Luna.

Freya returned the call.

It was quickly answered.

“Freya.” Luna’s voice sounded tense.

“I’m here.” Freya replied.

“Are you okay? I couldn’t reach you, and I was worried.”

“I’m fine. Have you come? Where are you now? I’ll come find you.” Freya said.

“I have work now. It’ll be late before I’m free. Call me after 6, and we’ll arrange a meeting place.” Luna Ann said.

“Okay.” Freya agreed and inquired, “Is my mom and Kai okay?”

“Yeah, they’re staying at my place. You can rest assured.”

“Okay.”

Freya missed them a lot, especially Kai. She hadn’t had the chance to hold him after giving birth.

“Madam, I prepared some food for you. Come down and eat a bit.” Linda suddenly came up.

Hearing the voice from the other end, Luna said, “I know you’re fine now. Let’s hang up for now and contact each other later tonight!”

“Okay.” Freya responded and hung up, following Linda downstairs.

See Elijah already sitting at the dining table, Freya hesitated for a moment.

“Madam.” Linda, seeing her not moving, reminded, “Madam, it’s time to eat.”

Freya quickly adjusted her mood and walked over. She pulled out a chair and sat at the bottom, opposite Elijah. Elijah, who had been seated, didn’t even look at her. Freya couldn’t hold back and said, “If you regret it, just say it directly. There’s no need to be so lukewarm. I’m not someone who clings desperately.”

She just knew that a man like Elijah would never accept a woman who was neither innocent nor had a child. She had been delusional before, thinking they could have a normal relationship! Elijah’s expression turned cold, and he slowly raised his eyelids, staring at her unblinkingly.

“Freya, you’re quite skilled at reversing the situation. Where did you learn this? You’re an expert, aren’t you?”

When he came back that night and found Freya missing, he assumed she had run away again. Unable to bear the anger, he stayed up all night in his room. Finally unable to endure, he decided to find her. He discovered her with Yolanda. He followed this clue and traced her to the hotel. He appeared at the hotel not by chance.

Freya frowned, “What are you talking about?”

“Why, Freya Stone, isn’t the credit card you returned to me yours? The note asking for a divorce, wasn’t that written by you? Now, you’re acting like you know nothing again. Do you dare to own up to it?”

Freya slapped her forehead. She had forgotten about this!

When she saw Elijah hugging Eloara, she returned to her room and wrote him a note She had completely forgotten about this when he didn’t mention it.

“Well…”

“Tell me, did you write the note?” Elijah interrupted her.

“Yes, I did.”

Upon hearing her answer, Elijah’s face turned even darker.
